Staff were faultless 10 out of 10. Both dinner & breakfast presented well however warm not hot. Under rim of sink needed cleaning dust sitting ontop of lid on toilet brush & not sure floor had been cleaned before we arrived as ball of dust under chair & marks/dark hair on bathroom floor. A little more attention to detail required (Fox room).

Had a lovely 1 night business stay. Bedroom (20) was lovely and felt really cosy, the restaurant was very nice and they were helpful with gluten free options. EV charger was really handy. The only small niggle was being woken at 6.45am with the bottle bins being emptied right next to my room Would definitely visit again

Really disappointed. The reception desk is not manned and it took a long wait before check in and check out. I booked a suite but was given a small room in the loft. The window had been left wide open so it was bitterly cold on arrival. There is no water or milk for coffee in the room. One of the windows had no blind or curtain. The bathroom is very small with the sloping roof it is impossible to use the toilet stood up. There is no mirror at the sink but on the other side of the room. There is no room service so I was told to order at the bar and then carry it up to my room. I did this and the dessert was brought to me 10 minutes before my main. A catalogue of problems which I have not experienced at this hotel before.

Lovely dog friendly stay - staff were all super helpful, friendly and accommodating and the whole place was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Delicious food, both dinner and breakfast, great selection and all arrived piping hot, well presented and 'just right' in terms of timing between ordering and delivery. A couple of constructive points / minor areas for improvement - the pillows were exceptionally firm, the pathway to our room would benefit from additional low level lighting (particularly around the step area) and it would be nice if there was a small area of grass on site to allow 'resident dogs' to relieve themselves. All in all though this did not detract from what was a lovely overnight break :)

Fantastiskt och mysigt med det lilla extra! Små detaljer som en liten sloe gin på rummet och fina val av material. Lyckats bevara charmen på ett modernt sätt. Bred frukostmeny men även kontinentala frukostval med utsökt yoghurt, juice och varje dag färska jordgubbar och bär. Mycket uppskattat! Bra parkering utanför dörren. Trevlig personal i receptionen och på frukosten. Kommer mycket gärna tillbaka!

This is a really tough one to do a review on. They clearly are trying so hard to make your stay a special one. The staff are brilliant and the food is excellent and really can't fault them on that side of things. The room was nicely decorated and a lovely bathroom area, however the overhead shower had a lot of dust and water marks so clearly not cleaned for a while. The bathroom itself was clean. The carpet really could do with a clean as a lot of stains. The advert says slippers, dressing gown and bottled water of which none could be found. Again nothing major, but without water it is hard to make tea or coffee with machines provided. The part we found most frustrating and it meant little sleep was that our room was directly over the bar and we could hear a group of people downstairs talking until after 1:30am which in all honesty I am unsure if it was staff or guests but either way if they moved to the main dining area it wouldn't have impacted us at all. The other frustration although told all rooms are sound proofed a slight design floor where downstairs bar has a speaker in the ceiling which is directly under the bedroom meaning despite the speaker being low ambient sound you can still hear the music which they turn off at 11pm but turn back on at 7:30am meaning a disruption of sleep. I am sure the staff who open up could select that bar area speaker isn't turned on until later in the morning. For us the pillows were far to hard, but didn't raise this issue.

Lovely room decorated with character. Comfortable bed, very fluffy towels. Breakfast was superb. Staff helpful and friendly.

We loved the charm of the property. The onsite restaurant was exceptional. Our Sunday dinner of pork, lamb, yorkshire pudding, potatoes and gravy were amazing. The chef works magic!

High expectations not met - both in terms of service given and in room amenities. Perhaps because I was so late to pick up room keys I was given the last room available? Wouldn’t say it was the cleanest or most organised room - where was the water?

Large and good restaurant is part of the hotel. Nice breakfast included. Excellent dinner. A little short on staff, but those there were friendly and capable.
