In the king size bedroom, where I stayed, the room was excellent. If you like a room that gets dark, the shades definitely keep the light out! The water pressure was excellent in the shower and you can get the water as hot as you want for as long as you want. The air unit has a setting that allows the fan to remain on if you like noise while you sleep, or you can turn that off. There were multiple firmness levels of pillows, which was nice and the sheets were not too heavy on the bed. Food was great for the breakfast and they had a welcome meal Wednesday night. The valet was always quick and polite. The folks at check in were always polite and were interested in my comfort level!

Our stay at Homewood Suites By Hilton was good. The room was clean upon arrival, and the hotel itself looked clean and taken care of. Good outdoor areas to hang out, plus its located by the canal so easy access to the canal walkway. Our only complain, was having to pay for parking. I believe this is the only hotel we have stayed at where we needed to pay for parking.

Nice place with friendly staff. They made it sound like parking was included, then charged 42 per day. We stayed 1 night gone by 11 and were charged 84 for parking. Will not stay there again just because it seemed dishonest. I don't mind paying for parking coming from Chicago, but be upfront and honest.

Hotel was nice. Parking very expensive

We complained how dirty the pool was to management, it was cloudy, and the side of the pool needed scrubbed as if algi was growing on it. You can see where kids have written there intials in the algi. There was food that looked like vomit that was spilt that we complained about and no one came to clean it up. There were kids in the pool with no parental supervision and we told management and nothing was done. We were told they would give us a free night but we are getting the run around. This was our first family vacation with two little ones and we are very disappointed. Would not recommend this place at all

Upon check in we were notified that they were having issues with their room key reader and we had to be escorted to our room; not an issue; staff was very helpful in multiple ways. Appreciated their recommendations for dining options in the area. The room was perfectly cooled. We were able to get the Suite; which was beautiful. King bed, pull out sofa, and desk. The shower was great; great amenities. We were excited to learn that there was a Kroger within walking distance. The pool was busy; no towels when we arrived but staff replenished before we needed. Multiple fresh breakfast options. Plus, to the patio overlooking the canal and easy canal access. The only downfall was the $40 self parking fee per night stay. We have stayed here a time or two before and will stay again.

Hi, the property looked nice and rooms were spacious. However, it was not very clean. There was a black spot on the ceiling over the shower, my kids feet turned black from walking around on the hotel room floor, the pool water was cloudy, the pool tile had a film on it that people were writing their names in, and there appeared to be a small brown trail on the tile next to the pool.

Great stay for the money. Free breakfast was actually decent and the staff was friendly.

The staff was terrific and the location on the canal was awesome . The only negative thing was that there was a mold spot in the shower next to the shower head that was the size of a quarter . The appearance of mold made me nervous.

It was horrible. The customer service at check in was terrible. They sent me back and forth with the valet 2 times because they couldn’t figure out the process. It was overall unprofessional. Didn’t tell me where the elevator was, where breakfast. When they finally got the valet situation figured out the incompetent front desk person said your room number. How am I supposed to just tell you my room number? I’m just now checking in.

Amazing surprise after a long day of travel. Beautiful, well maintained, helpful staff, great amenities & located on a beautiful canal.

DO NOT book through hotels.com this hotel will not refund anything if needed. They do not show you any “policies”. When we booked there was nothing about a $45 parking fee, if you don’t use the parking once booked in they will charge you. The bathroom door didn’t lock, the shower smashed our fingers, there was a big chunk out of the wall dropping dry wall. The microwave also wasn’t vented so it didn’t cook right and the room would smell burnt and shower floor was cracked and would catch your foot. Hang up getting your room cleaned, they won’t. They skipped our room came back to do it, we asked for time for us to exit the room (6 of us and gave a time frame which was prompt) two hours later it wasn’t clean. WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms, tv buffered, and we couldn’t get extra towels. We ultimately left a day early and paid for parking and the room which wasn’t used. They’re not overly friendly at all. 10/10 won’t be going back.
