Cannot recommend this place enough. Sam is a lovely host and the house is very clean and cozy. Comfy beds and nice bathroom/shower. Very centrally located to main hiking spots and the town of Portree.

Guest house situata a pochi minuti da Portree, può assolutamente essere il punto d’appoggio per visitare l’Isola di Skye. La nostra camera era molto pulita, sufficientemente grande, con tutti i servizi basilari oggigiorno. Viene anche fornita di tutto il necessario per la colazione della prima mattina (a noi è bastato anche per la seconda colazione), wifi funzionante alla perfezione. Non abbiamo avuto contatti con la proprietaria, ma è sempre stata a disposizione sia prima che durante il soggiorno tramite messaggi o telefono. Ottima soluzione ad un prezzo accessibile per gli standard locali.

Moorside Rooms was the right place for us to stay while exploring the Isle of Skye. Centrally located and convenient.

Wonderful accomodation

Sam was a great host. The morning breakfast was thoughtful and the accommodation was clean. We didn’t have many interactions with our host because everything was handled so well that there was nothing we needed that wasn’t already provided.

It’s easy to self check in. Sam left goodies in the room for a nice continental breakfast. We had a fridge in the room so it was easy to pick up some yogurt etc for an easy breakfast. Very clean and quiet. Slightly outside Portree so you need a car but parking is included and you would need a car in this area anyway. Highly recommend!

This was good value for a visit to Isle of Skye. A bit out of town, but that was not a problem for us.

Just a great weekend stay all round! Sam couldn't do enough for us, always helpful and kind. The entry/check-in and our room was well organized and very clean. The inroom continental breakfast was very nice with a large assortment of items. The evening carrot cake was unexpected and delicious. The twin beds were adequate and the comforters kept us warm. Thank you Sam. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very pleasant stay

Moorside is warm and comfortable. Samantha was very welcoming and the carrot cake an unexpected bonus. Facilities were good and the family room a good size -better than many hotels.

There was carpet in the room and the bathroom was inconvenient based on what I am accustom to in the USA. It had 2 separete faucets for hot and cold. The shower was too small to wash in and the water pressure was very light. Having said that, it was a fairly good value for the cost which was quite low.

L’accès à l’hébergement a été facilité grâce à l’information que nous ont fournis les responsables. Lieux tranquilles, avec vue sur les montagnes, et très bien situé pour les circuits en auto. Accès à des dizaines de pistes pour la randonnée pédestre sur les circuits. Très bien tenu et très propre. Merci!

Clean and comfy

Not near downtown Portree but…. it was so perfectly placed to literally everything in Skye! On top of it the owner, Sam, is hands down the best business owner. Every little detail she thought of to make my stay amazing.

The owner really went the extra miles to make us feel welcome & help with all are needs

Great place just outside of portree (10min car drive), good links to rest of the island. Sam (Hostess) was very friendly. Rooms were clean and well kept with lots of complimentary items. Overall a fantastic place to stay when visiting skye will definitely come back on future visits.
