We loved this hotel! The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were fantastic and made every effort to make our stay wonderful. We loved the decor of the hotel as it suited the building and kept with the ski town vibe without playing into the mountain cliches of "The Mountains are Calling and I must go" decor that seems to be at every other hotel in the mountains. We also enjoyed the cedar sauna and breakfast. Our 3 night stay was nearly perfect but unfortunately I am not sure we will return. Upon check in I found a piece of dog food in our room, not a big deal as our room was very clean. I asked the front desk if we were in a pet friendly room. She replied that the entire hotel is dog friendly. We love dogs; however, I am allergic to some breeds. The website does say pet friendly but when I booked I never booked a pet friendly room. It never crossed my mind that every room was pet friendly. Guest services did offer to come vacuum the room again but I didn't feel it was necessary as the room was clean. Unfortunately, pet dander gets deep into carpet and bedding and based on my puffy eyes each morning the previous residents most likely let little scruffy sleep on the bed with them. If the Larix ever decides to make some of their 20 rooms not pet-friendly we will definitely be back. It is a special place for those people who don't have allergies.

All the little details have been considered at this boutique hotel. Quality soap, shampoo, conditioner, free coffee, tea, cookies, bubbly water, comfortable bed and bedding, great staff, wonderful breakfast; I absolutely love it!

The room was clean but a little dark. Loved the friendly atmosphere and sitting areas and the fire.

What a beautiful, lovely and quaint hotel! The owners have done a fantastic job of creating a memorable experience. Highlights are obvioulsy the gorgeous ambience in the Library, the music that feels curated by the hour and floats through the hotel, the non stop tea, water, coffee and homemade daily cookies, and the locations is unbeatable. It was amazing to bring our dog, and also to have access to the woodfired Sauna . It felt like boutique luxury the whole way through. Great access to the ski hill, and across the street from the adorable Platzl, full of shops and restaurants. Lastly, the breakfast was amazing, and served in such a beautiful space. Can't wait to come back! See review

Such a cozy and well kept property. It was in the perfect location to explore Kimberley and near the ski hill. The breakfast was excellent. Great value! I’d return.

We loved out stay at Larix. We were greeted by Susane and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, service was amazing and we loved their small pantry where they had their cookies, juices, water, coffee and tea. They also had a fridge where you can keep you food in case you have left overs. The location was top notch just in downtown and overall our stay was great. The breakfast was fresh and had decent options! Definitely come back next time !
