We absolutely loved our stay at Refugio Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The atmosphere has such a great vibe—relaxed, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The staff was amazing and truly made the experience special with their kindness and attention to detail. The food was incredible, and every meal exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean and well cared for, and the location is perfect. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Restaurant was amazing, monkeys over the roof in the trees, fun music at night. Only complaint is the loud music from all the surrounding venues.

Amazing experience! The staff was attentive and provided great recommendations. They truly went above and beyond. The stay was filled with amazing food, drinks, and night entertainment. I will definitely be retiring back to Refugio! Also, make sure to buy their coffee! Buena Nota!

A wonderful place to stay in Tamarindo. Everything is close by, including the beach. The place is very clean, and the breakfasts are excellent.

Staff is very friendly and the location is the best. Walking distance to every thing. Right in the middle of the town. Great night life.

Superbe endroit et le manager est disponible et aidant! Très bien situé, la nourriture est excellente, la chambre sent bon et est propre je recommande. Simplement savoir qu’il y a un night club à côté de l’hôtel de sorte que la musique est assez forte de 22h à 23h. Des bouchons sont disponibles au besoin

The team at Refugio was incredibly helpful and informative. We got help booking tours before we even got to the hotel. The hotel is very central, with easy access to the beach, shops, restaurants and clubs. The restaurant has a great menu. Highly recommend the cocktails!

Great vibes, location and breakfasts! Agustin was super helpful sending through all the information we needed before we arrived and giving lots of recommendations, including nearby beaches which we wouldn’t have known about. Agustin and all the staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. There is noise (music) but to be expected and ear plugs are provided for anybody who needs them.

Le personnel était très aimable et serviable. La chambre était spacieuse, légèrement à l’écart des bars, face a une petite piscine dans un coin mignon.

Relacion calidad precio esta bien, hotel chico, con pocas habitaciones, piscina, ambiente calido de las personas que lo atienden, buen desayuno. Unico tema mas vale que te guste la fiesta por los bares alrededor.

Good location for Tamarindo. Friendly people. Paid $80/night in the low season which is an ok price.
