Immaculate room with all the expected facilities including a fully effective air-conditioning unit which was needed on a very hot May bank holiday weekend. Small friendly Inn that worked really well as a base for a long weekend. Ample off road parking and access to room easy via new stairs at the rear of the building

service was excerlent and staff all very friendly and informative. very comfortable stay.

Nice, clearly marked newly resurfaced car park, well lit and easy access to the building. The room was spotless and the bed really comfy. Good breakfast in the morning and friendly people doing the doings. What more could anybody ask?!

Great staff , great pub and value for money

The whole experience was fabulous. I would highly recommend.

The room was immaculate and the staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good but sadly we did not enjoy our evening meal. The vegetables that accompanied my main course amounted to a couple of forks and were very overcooked. My wife's venison pie was full of gristle. We would stay at the Canal Inn in the future but would not have an evening meal. Not a nice experience and made the stay less than perfect.

Excellent staff, very clean room, nice bar with plenty of choice, breakfast was lovely, (i had the english breakfast), all for a bargain price in my view, would definitely stay again, in fact we already plan to stay here when were in the area again, if i had one small niggle it would be the quality of the rump steak i had in the evening, it was a very tough bit of meat, it wasnt the way it was cooked as it was exactly as I'd asked for, it was just quite tough and stringy

Lovely room. very comfortable bed, quiet, lovely area, lovely breakfast sandwich for breakfast, staff were lovely.

Great place. Nice old style pub downstairs Rooms really really good. An excellent conversation/refurbishment with high quality fissures and fittings. Bed good shower excellent

It was a pity that breakfast wasn’t served on a Monday morning but my room was superb, the staff very friendly and helpful - a quiet night’s sleep! 😊
