Overall, it was a very nice holiday, but there were a few things that really bothered us. There were clearly too few sun umbrellas – even the staff confirmed this. There were by far not enough for everyone, even though the resort wasn’t particularly full. The food was good, but almost the same every day. It also felt like they were cutting corners: one day they offered Nutella, but 30 minutes later it was suddenly no longer available – only after repeatedly asking did they finally bring it out. Ice cream was also often unavailable, even though it was 38 degrees Celsius. To us, it looked like they were deliberately trying to save costs.

We just wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone at Rixos for looking after us so well during our week long stay at the hotel last week. The hotel is excellently appointed, and in a good location making it easily accessible to the main attractions, and our room was perfect. The food at both breakfast and for evening dinner as part of our half board package was really good, with plenty of choice and variety. Overall, we had a lovely time and everyone without exception was warm, friendly and nothing but helpful. Just a notable mention however for everyone who works in the Farmhouse restaurant at breakfast and for dinner. They work tirelessly and always with a smile. It’s really hard to single out any one individual given everyone was so attentive and welcoming, but a special thank you to Duncan and Kiki for their hard work and care and attention they gave us at breakfast and evening dinner - they are a huge credit and ambassadors for Rixos Doha. We really hope to be able to come back to Doha and the Rixos again.

l'hébergement est bien globalement restauration suffisante et variée le personnel très accueillant disponible et professionnel cependant à la piscine c'est la catastrophe tour de la plage aussi peu de transat peu de parasol c'est vraiment la lutte des personnes se lève à 3h du matin pour réserver les places une catastrophe ça a vraiment beaucoup nuit à notre séjour

I believe the dining area could be more spacious, as its current capacity seems limited. The tables are not always prepared on time and may not be cleaned thoroughly. Additionally, the glasses in both the dining and pool areas often appear to be stained. The towels provided at the poolside seem worn out. On a positive note, the towels in the rooms are of good quality, and the room cleaning service is satisfactory

Nice Hotel

The whole team was accommodating and went above and beyond in their service. Chef Rahul was awesome!

The hotel is very stylish, clean and modern. The pools are very nice. The food is tasty however I would prefer more variety and more choices. The coffee is very good!! Unfortunately, the service in the restaurant is quite bad..

Farouk vom Empfang sehr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Hala vom Empfang auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für ein 5 Stern Hotel erwartet man mehr. Bei Ramadan nicht empfehlenswert, keine Musik am Tag, ausser ein Restaurant alles geschlossen. Man sollte die Gäste schon informieren, dass es draussen alles geschlossen ist, finde ich ok, aber nicht im Hotel.

The breakfast was very basic, not the 5* experience I was expecting. Stayed at other Rixos’s in the Middle East which are way better

Rooms excellent, hotel areas spacious and clean. Seating arrangements for dining inside need some attention. Sun loungers and umbrellas need upgrading. Staff generally very good- particularly reception area.

We were lured to Rixos Gulf by the good reviews. Sadly, we saw later that 80% of those are written by "first-time-reviewers" ;-) The place is a disgrace for the beautiful country of Qatar and has absolutely nothing to do with a 5 star resort. It's by far the worst worst of the eight 5 star hotels we visited around the Gulf. There is practically no service, baby chairs are to fight for and in a horrible condition. The food consists widely of the same old-overcooked noodles every night. The rest is the cheapest no-brand stuff. If you ask for a banana for the baby - there is none. The pool falls apart. The biggest joke is also the kids club - we found 2 employees in the kids club who parked the kid they had to take care of in front of the TV (you nailed the job ;-)) The kids water facilities could not be any sadder - with super cold water (consequently, no kids used them). I could go on with our disappointment. We regretted every minute to have come here and will never ever set foot in a Rixos again. My advice: Sell it as a run-down hostel and don't lure guests who expect a 5 star hotel!

We stayed at the Rixos for 7 nights at half board in early February. The staff were extremely helpful and kind throughout. The cleaning staff are exceptional always keeping your room clean and topped up with water etc.
