My visit went very well. I loved the beach, and it was wonderful that my room was right by the shoreline. The staff was very helpful; beach chairs were brought to the beach without me even asking, whenever I settled there. When I arrived very late, the staff was waiting for me at the reception and even prepared dinner. The reception staff helped me with transportation issues and arranged a safe ride through the hotel, for which I am very grateful. When my transportation arrived, the staff member on duty called the security guard from outside and made sure everything was okay and that my ride had arrived safely. As a woman traveling alone, I really appreciated the excellent assistance I received, the reliable transportation was arranged, and I was well taken care of. I would definitely go back; I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

Great experience. However, it took forever to be served meals! Maybe a suggestion would be to order ahead of time!

Very terrible experience. Hotels.Com deducted the payment and yet Sunbird Chintheche didn't get the payment. I had to make the payment again. Now trying to process refund from Hotels. Com

A dated property that requires some attention in the rooms, bathroom needs updating. Outdoor is kept clean and neat gardens Lake Malawi views from the rooms was a bonus! Very friendly staff
