Overall the experience was good. The staff were really attentive. Breakfast was also good. The only thing that we were not fully aware of, was the fact that you have to walk for a short distance on the beach to reach the alley that takes you to the hotel and some of the village streets get very muddy as well. Not a big deal but not comfortable either if you are carrying a suitcase. On the day we were leaving, we hired an inexpensive (approx. $10) local guy that will carry all your luggage on a cart from/to the pier.

Eu raramente comento, contudo quando você é bem recebido é legal não esquecer. A estadia é boa, móveis bons, bonita vista, ótima variedade no café, com bastante frutas e principalmente o atendimento das pessoas da recepção, sempre ajudando, dando idéias e sugestões. Muito obrigado

Staff were lovely and really friendly and breakfast was nice. However, the place was very humid, there were no mosquito nets on the windows so lots of bugs and the drainage smelled in the bathroom.

Très belle pousada au calme et à avec un accès plage direct. Notre chambre vue mer était super avec un grand balcon...le petit déjeuner est fait maison et copieux...et le personnel toujours serviable. Les commerces, restaurants et tours ne sont qu à quelques mètres ...tout est très accessible. Je recommande pour un super séjour sur i ilha grande

Fiquei muito satisfeito com a acomodação. Instalação e materiais limpos, água quente, café da manhã completo e variado, equipe de colaboradores gentis, educados e solícitos. Localização que proporciona descanso com silêncio e com fácil acesso às principais atrações da vila. Recomendo e voltaria a me hospedar.

Recomendo a pousada, ótimo custo benefício, bom café da manhã, perto da praia, tem uma subida pra chegar até à pousada e fica uns 10 minutos do centrinho, mas não tive nenhum problema quanto à isso, tem como ir pela praia que fica mais perto pra chegar ao centrinho, mas passa pela água se tiver de sandália ou tênis vai molhar. Equipe atenciosa, limpeza diária do quarto. Gostei da estadia.

Great experience, staff is amazingly friendly, Helen is a great host. Breakfast is home made, fresh and generous, very flavourful. Our room was a bit small, it needed more closet space (it didn’t have any!), fridge could use some maintenance. Location is great for beach access, although very steep in the last segment, you absolutely need a bellboy for large pieces of luggage. Great overall value!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The rooms are simple but alright, ceiling fans and air conditioning. The breakfast is also very good!

All of the staff is super nice. I don’t speak Portuguese, so they had to work a little harder. I had to work a couple days, but the WiFi was great upstairs and downstairs. I was able to do Teams video meetings. They have a good breakfast and afternoon tea.

Hotel Pousada Aquarela is an underrated gem. Although the steep hill to reach the hotel made arrival challenging (initially no luggage help), staff went above and beyond throughout our visit, especially assisting with luggage upon departure. The accommodations were clean, modest, and charming, matched by genuinely exceptional service. Highly recommended for a memorable, comfortable stay.
