We stayed in the cabin in the back which was…. Absolutely adorable and as pictured. I would highly recommend to communicate with the host ahead of time, because while the contact phone number is listed at multiple points on the property, it can be difficult for a traveler without phone service. I was traveling from another country and had data only, I was fortunate to have a local person lend me their phone so I could check in that first evening. That is my only advice for anyone wanting to stay here - since there is no formal check in desk - just be prepared ahead of time. The parking/driveway in the back can also be a bit tricky… we had to reverse all of the way out from around the back of the house… doable… but not ideal. Overall, definitely 5 stars for the place and the kindness of the host, just some “good info to know” for those who are not local and will be parking there.

Lovely room, lovely breakfast in bed.

This property was beautiful and unique. It was our own little cabin behind the main house with parking. Margaret and her son were very helpful with any questions we had. We stayed for three nights and could easily travel to Waterford, Wexford, Tramore Beach, Hook Lighthouse and the town of New Ross has some interesting attractions.

We were in the cabin behind the main property and it was so quiet and lovely. The rain on the roof while we were sitting on our little front porch was magical! The mattress left something to be desired but that was my only concern.

Our stay was perfect, and the host is so very accommodating and friendly! The room was so clean and charming. We even booked an extra night since we enjoyed our stay so much! Thanks so much for the amazing accommodation our first time in Ireland!

Final payment was taken out of my account without consent beforehand. I was under the impression, as I was told, that final payment was to be paid on arrival. There were 2 other rooms which were to be paid by the others but their payments were taken from my account. When I asked the host for clarification of payments taken, she basically told us that if we weren’t happy we could go elsewhere as she would have no problem letting her rooms out to others! As we had nowhere else to go, we stayed. Our deluxe room looked lovely on entering but on closer inspection it was quite dirty in places such as mirror, settee, window etc and the toilet seat was sliding from side to side. My husband walked into the on suite an slipped and fell into the wall as the mat was sliding on the floor. The host made her presence known if anyone was on the veranda as every time a guest went out for a coffee or smoke on the veranda she came out although she was pleasant and chatty a private chat could not have been had. For the price a breakfast should be included but she said if she made breakfast for 1 she would have to make it for 14!!! If porridge pots or small cereal boxes and fruit were left in the room she wouldn’t have to cook for anyone!!

The room and grounds were lovely. Walking distance to restaurants. Great value for the price. Perfect for a one night stay though the room is small the decor is very pretty.

A reasonably well presented self contained cabin. Furnished to high standards

La camera si trova in una dependance della casa principale ed è molto carina, spaziosa e comoda, con parcheggio proprio di fronte e uno spazio con tavolo e sedie per godersi l'esterno (se non piove!). I padroni di casa, seppur educati, si sono limitati alla consegna e al ritiro delle chiavi dandoci un po' l'impressione che fossimo un disturbo per loro.

This was booked only a few days in advance and I was very happy with the accommodation. The owner provided a warm welcome and was extremely friendly and helpful.

Lovely host nice quiet area cabin was behind the main house smell of people smoking inside evidence of that lying outside the door bed was like a bed of stones needs changed parking requires a bit 7 point turning Im being picky but overall nice spot

Very quiet property with really comfortable bed. Our room was compact (we knew this when we booked), but very adequate. The room was spotlessly clean with a small functional en-suite. The shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. Lots of towels were provided as well as toiletries. The host was very friendly and available if and when needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Prima accomodatie en aardige gastvrouw. Zij adviseerde ons spontaan over de fietsroute die we van plan waren te ondernemen. Ontbijt was uitstekend. We zijn twee nachten gebleven.

One of the nicest stays ever!

Could not fault the place, was only staying for 1 night and it had a comfy bed and was warm. The shower wasn’t too powerful but was still good for a cheap stay.

Die Lodge war sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das Wifi hat Anfangs nicht funktioniert, aber durch die Hilfe der Gastgeber hat es am Ende geklappt. Wir haben sogar als Entschuldigung eine Flasche Sangria bekommen, das war richtig cool 😁

Very friendly hostess in comfortable clean accommodation. Breakfast extra on booking price and dissappointed as couldn’t avail of a full breakfast even though we were ordering at 8 pm on previous evening.

Housecwas neat and tidy . Shower could have been cleaner and the bath didnt work. Headboard not attached to the bed. Mattress was very uncomfortable. I could hear someone snoring in the toom mext door on one of the nights. Tea facilities in the room was a nice touch.
