The room and bathroom were updated and very clean…… Steve , the owner/ manager was very friendly and helpful with the planning of our adventures……. Very knowledgeable about the trails and beaches……would definitely stay there again

The room was really nice. A shame that we felt like we were intruding on the owners daily activity. They use a great electronic door access code.... As long as Steve (owner or manager) remembers to set it for your arrival. I then asked for an 11am checkout as I was riding in the morning. This was done via text as that was the way I received my access code (eventually). Next thing, there's a man at our door identifying himself as Steve "Hi Shane, I'm Steve, no you can't have a late checkout as I pay the cleaners so much to clean". ( This is exactly the words he used, whilst ignoring my wife in front of him at the door, and trying to look over my shoulder into our room. All this whilst we are trying to get our bags in to "our" room for the night. Fast forward to when my wife is having to move the rest of our bags out prior to 10am and our "friend" Steve is actually cleaning the room next door. So he is basically paying "himself" too much to clean, hence the flat out NO to an extension of 1 hour. It's a shame about all of the above because the location was amazing and the room was quite tidy and clean( great work on the cleaning Steve).

Lovely clean room, staff excellent, super friendly and helpful (helped fix my car which was so great!). Perfect walk into town so its much more peaceful and a great walk with superb bar just down the street for food and drinks - Brewhouse.

The room and washroom was spotless, the owner is a very welcoming and informative person. Overall an amazing experience.

Steve was fabulous with all the suggestions and our room was terrific, also the trails right behind the hotel were wonderful for hiking and biking or trail running.

Clean room and friendly staff!

Excellent! Owner was very nice and extremely helpful. Provided great advice on itinerary and places to eat. Pointed out local animals on the property (ring tailed possum). Very welcoming. Room was quiet and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.

Clean property, as described. Comfortable and close to caves in the area. I was disappointed to not have the expertise of the owner as many had mentioned in reviews that he was helpful, but he was out of town while I was there. Fridge was handy and we brought our own coffeemaker and frother from home.

Such a peaceful and confortable stay at Edge of the Forrest motel. We only stayed 2 nights but they were 2 of the most comfortable and peaceful nights we've had on any overnight stays. The king bed is heavenly and Steve keeps the room temperature perfect so that you don't freeze even in winter. The bed also has heating but I never had to use it. The forrest surroundings are lush and serene and the brewery is just a quick walk down the back trail by the forrest. The town centre and everything you'd want to see is within 20 minutes walk from the motel so transport was not a problem. Steve's dog Clover is gorgeous too and loves pats. Would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, comfy place that isn't far from all the fun.

Room was spacios and clean. Close to the main street. Great outside areas to sit and/or eat.

Steve is a great host. He was quick to share lots of information and answered all our questions as first-timers to beautiful Margaret River country. The rooms and grounds are first-rate. Downtown shopping and restaurants are a short walk, but Edge of the Forest is really in the edge of the forest. We loved our stay and hope to return.

We’ve stayed in numerous hotels/motels in and around Margaret River over the last 15 years, and this motel is the friendliest we’ve ever experienced. Steve was great to deal with and chat to, and the accommodation was good. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely spot right on th edge of th forest and a short walk to th Brew house, that has lovely outdoor area and the best fish n chips.
