The Tide’s Out is a motel with a convenient location off Island Hwy. It’s a basic, no frills (no breakfast) accommodation yet comfortable place to stay, with free Wi-fi. It’s currently still undergoing some renovations though it didn’t affect our 2 nights stay. Check-in was quick, staff were nice and attentive. Our room was clean, with a complete kitchen; a big screen TV; a most comfortable King sized bed with a very thick mattress; newly updated bathroom with extra large fluffy towels and toiletries provided. Bonus - entrance to play at Paradise Mini-golf across the street is free all day.

Lovely friendly staff, clean comfortable room, and nice outdoor seating area. Great location, but we did have a bit of traffic noise. We would definitely stay again! Great value.

Very nice place. Comfy bed, huge TV. Very modern look. Dog Friendly. Pull down shade was great so not bright in morning. Cons, right off highway so a little noisy. Some red algae build up in base of shower.

The King room does not accommodate 3 people who are adult size, even if one is considered a “child”. There is no peephole in the door which lessens security if someone knocks. Good location.

Accommodating staff and very friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. Will recommend to my friends and family.

Pros: staff were very friendly and accommodated early check-in. Kids loved the free mini golf. Cons: we booked a non-smoking room and the room had a heavy smoke/musty smell. Our child’s feet were very dirty after crawling on the floor for a few minutes. We bought cleaning wipes and air freshener to use to be comfortable for the night. Would not recommend for families staying with young children.

Clean updated room and very friendly staff

The family suit was very spacious. Check in was quick and easy and the property was very dog friendly. We enjoyed the free mini golf and being so close to the Beach. The room amenities were very basic. No regular coffee, weird toilet paper. No low lighting/lamps only very bright overhead highlighting. Also, so water bottle fill station onsite. Overall, a great value in Parksville if you aren’t too caught up in the small details.

Our unit slept up to 4, with one bed in a separate room and a full kitchenette. Very well laid out, clean, convenient, and comfortable!

Very nicely renovated motel, our room was very spacious, the staff is helpful and hard working. The kitchen could use a few more items like a toaster, but they did have one we were able to borrow from the lobby. Free mini golf was a nice bonus too. I highly recommend staying here.

Took a trip with my five kids and partner and we rented three rooms for the night. I was amazed at how beautiful it all was, with the mini golf just across the street and extremely helpful staff

I rarely write reviews, but this was an unexpected gem. A newly refurbished room, excellent bed and bedding, extra large TV, good location.

They don't have mini golf or bumper boats on site. It is across the street. But you do get to play mini golf for free with your room key. Rooms are nice, but have an old smell of cigarettes, like the room was a smoking room in the 80's and 90's.

Everyone had a great time. responsive staff. Will be back for sure!

Nice place to stay and family gets free mini golf next door

Property was recently renovated and very tastefully done. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor area and the mini golf. The kitchenette in our room was stocked with pretty everything you could need, minus a kettle. The only complaint we really had was that the floors were filthy, recommend bringing some slippers.
