My stay was completely derailed by a severe safety and security issue. Late one night, I had to deal with a highly erratic individual, accompanied by an unknown person, causing massive chaos right outside my door. They were knocking and trying to push their way into my room at midnight. This quickly escalated into them screaming unhinged, discriminatory and offensive abuse towards me. The situation was so out of control that security and then the police had to intervene. This individual was shortly arrested. The most shocking part was when the responding officers explicitly stated that this individual was actually on house arrest, and that this university residence was the address as part of their release conditions. Furthermore, their stay had been prepaid for about a month. This means the property had explicitly agreed to house someone under the active supervision of the criminal courts while the general public was booking rooms right down the hall. The consequences of this dangerous situation came right to my door in the middle of the night. Two unknown individuals attempted to push their way into my small dorm room in a strange city—all because the property was de facto functioning similarly to a halfway house. Despite my attempts to discuss the matter with staff and calling the manager, no one seemed to care about my experience in the days following the event. We stayed in a 4‑bedroom, 2‑bathroom dorm unit at Mount Saint Vincent. It was spacious, clean, and a decent price for what you got. Each bedroom was basic but comfortable, and having two bathrooms made mornings much easier. The location is a bit outside downtown Halifax (about 15‑20 minutes by car), so plan for that if you don't have a vehicle. Parking was fine. Overall, a solid budget option for a group or family. Not fancy, but good value.

Quiet building. We booked the 4 room apartment with 2 bathrooms. Lots of room. Beds were super singles, I believe (longer than a twin). Not the best sleep, but what do you expect when your 58 and sleep in a queen. Bring your own fan for a/c as the rooms are a little stuffy. Good water pressure. Tv stations are basic cable. WiFi included. At check in you are presented with a piece of paper that shows wifi credentials. The funny thing is you are also given a description of how to use the shower 😂! I have never used a shower knob function like this one and the notes were helpful! I would stay again.

When a customer arrives, not everyone carries water at-least offer them a fresh water bottle or just leave it in the room. Other than that refill the machine where we can get water.

The room was great. I especially loved that they came equipped with a sink. I found the mattress challenging to have a good nights rest, but they provided me with an extra pillow for added comfort. The dorm itself was more spacious than I thought with plenty of storage and drawers. I also appreciate the locked washrooms being equipped with showers. I was under the impression that shower stalls were going to be the mode of use, so that was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back!

Le prix est très abordable, sauf qu'il manquait quelques accessoires importants comme par exemple une marmite, des verres, quelques ustensiles manquants. Donc, nous avons dú faire quelques achats pour faire cuire nos pâtes. Mais, pour leprix je suis en général satisfaite. C'était très tranquille.

The parking was free and easily accessible, the room was larger than I expected, clean and with big window so a lot of sunlight. It was very quiet at night, the bathrooms were easily available. My only complaint is there was no A/C so I had to sleep with the windows opened because the room got very hot in the afternoon. Overall, well worth the price

The room was clean, beds were surprisingly comfy. The hotel doesn't have air conditioning but they had a fan in each room and the windows opened. We stayed in May so it wasn't hot in the room at all. Overall a great stay for the price

Die Idee die Unterkunft im Sommer die Studentenappartments zu vermieten ist genial. Am Stadtrand gelegen, in der Früh waren Rehe am Parkplatz. Sehr einfach aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Check - in bis 22 Uhr besetzt. Großer Kühlschrank und Wohnküche.
