Nice folks, good breajfast

Breakfast was tasty and very filling. Food was freshly made. I had scheduled for a 9am breakfast but went down to breakfast around 830am, but the hosts accomodated that change easily. Bathroom was fully stocked and clean. Bed had fresh linen and was extremely comfortable. I had a wonderful night there. There is parking for 6 cars in the driveway, or parking on the street (depending on how many other people park on the stree). The house is next to a church which sometimes rings its church bell. So that might disturb anyone who was thinking of sleeping in late. The view from the front of the house overlooks the city towards the north and north east. There is a nice view of the sunset from outside the house.

This is a complete gem of a B&B, 5 star all the way. Ken and Gwen are amazing hosts who go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay possible in their home. The rooms are beautifully furnished the beds excellent and the individual bathrooms sparkling. The Rose Arden has so much history and character in its period construction. A beautiful enclosed veranda upstairs with complimentary tea or coffee where you can sit and appreciate the panoramic view of Hamilton. Then theres breakfast! - probably the best I have ever had, fresh ingredients, quality fruit, cheeses and meats such a pleasure every morning. I stayed for 5 nights in this superb B&B and if you are staying in the area this is the place I highly recommend

A very comfortable, clean facility with a gracious host and hostess. An exceptional breakfast each morning. A very convenient location to the hospital. Leave your car parked at the B & B. A matter of steps to the hospital. Move back and forth from the hospital during the day allowing rest time for the patient. I highly recommend this B & B. I spent five nights. No hesitation in going back.

Lovely room and excellent hosts and breakfasts

Comfortable bed and lovely amenities in our room. Spectacular views from upper level porch overlooking the city and Lake Ontario. Home cooked farm fresh breakfast was delicious! Great restaurants within a 5-20 minute walk for lunch and dinner. Gwen and Ken were such gracious hosts who made us feel right at home.

Two night stopover to visit the Warplane Heritage Museum

Lovely property. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent.

Great view of Lake Ontario and Hamilton from the upstairs balcony. Wonderful breakfast, lots of artworks. The hostess is very friendly . Big bath tub to soak in.

There seemed to be a great deal of hair in our room, on the bedding and floor.

Charming old house but tiny room and bathroom. Good breakfast but alarms every five minutes to remind you that you are getting close to the check out time very annoying. Wi-fi and TV did not work. I do not recommend this B&B.

Amazing place. 125yr old Victorian home. Beautiful done. So Charming. Gwen was amazingly friendly. Breakfast was fabulous. The sitting room with fireplace, over looks the mountain view, over the city and lake. Wow!! Amazing sunsets and rise. I Can't stop looking out the window!! I will be coming back here for sure! Thank you for a great sleep (bed was so comfortable and great pillows) and a deep tub, great for soaking in!!! Such a quite relaxing time. Highly recommend 😄👍

The hosts, were very friendly and accommodating. I arrived later than planned, and had some food allergy considerations that they were most were quick to address for me. I had a two day course I had to attend, and the property was within a 6 min walk of where I needed to be, which was great! The home is situated on a quiet street that overlooks the city valley and waterway. Lots of great dining in the area. The room I had was a single bed with it's own ensuite. The room was well-appointed and cozy. It's an older character home so it isn't without its squeaks and sounds, but I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a place to stay close to the area! Thanks, Gwen & Ken!
