Our room was clean, but it was very dated. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows were so small that they provided very little support.
Unfortunately, the biggest issue was a serious safety concern. I fell because the eavestrough was draining into the grassy area at the end of the motel, creating unsafe footing. I landed face-first on the concrete curb, resulting in a cut on my nose and significant bruising around my nose and left eye.
We immediately made the staff aware of what had happened, but I was very disappointed by their lack of concern. Despite staying at the motel for two nights after the incident, no one checked on my condition or followed up. When we spoke with a staff member/cleaner outside, she said she would speak to the owner, but we never heard anything further.
Accidents can happen, but how a business responds speaks volumes. I expected at least a follow-up or some expression of concern, and unfortunately, that never happened. Because of both the safety issue and the poor customer service, I would not choose to stay here again.
