We loved our stay at Hotel Muralto and highly recommend it. The property is conveniently located near public transportation (a bus stop right out the door and train station a 5 minute walk). It's a 10 minute walk to old town Locarno, shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is well maintained, the room was spotless and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious, the air conditioning was welcome and refreshing (we were in Switzerland during a heat wave and stayed in several hotels which didn't have A/C, resulting in some uncomfortable sleeping). Overall, Hotel Muralto was our favorite hotel during our time in Switzerland!

Sehr sauber, Frühstück ok, Aussicht toll, Self-Service Bar ist eher ein Scherz. Personal durchmischt von freundlich bis ziemlich gleichgültig.

In diesem Hotel stimmt einfach alles. Sehr nettes und hilfreiches Personal, grosse sehr saubere Zimmer mit schönen Balkonen. Gutes Frühstuck und super Lage nahe Bahnhof Locarno.

Wie immer. Ausser, dass die Kaffeemaschine in Reparatur ist und ein provisorischer Ersatz da ist. Ist aber am 22. Mai vorbei.

Property was perfect for us. We stayed in room 50 with an awe inspiring view. That was the most important feature for us. Our room was spacious and clean. With a large bed, two twin beds pushed together, very supportive and comfortable. Hotel Muralto is an older property that has been well cared for and updated. Staff are very kind, helpful and attentive. We stayed in Locarno for 2 weeks and found that Hotel Muralto to be the right balance of comfort and functionality at a very good price. The property is located within a 6 minute walk from the train/bus station so super convenient. Please note the pathways up from the train station and downtown can be a little steep and challenging for someone with mobility issues, but there are convenient bus options just steps from the hotel door. Locarno is a lovely city and ever so peaceful in the evening. We left our balcony door open for nature’s AC which is quite comfortable in April and May. We will definitely be back!

Zimmer gegen die Strasse Abends eher laut aber im Rahmen. Zimmer waren sauber und zweckmässig; ideal für unsere 2 Tage Aufenthalt. Die Lage ist toll; quasi direkt am Bahnhof und See,nur wenige Gehminuten, auch bis ins Zentrum! Strasse zum Hotel ist steil.

La stanza era pulita ed inoltre mi hanno assegnato una stanza confortevole con vista sul lago...il personale gentilissimo!

The hotel is beautiful. We managed to secure a room with a view of the lake. Very clean. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice. Location is walking distance from food, shops and buses.
