Lovely place to stay, the communal kitchen is a really good idea I don't always want a cooked breakfast when I'm traveling,

Staffs were helpful and the restaurant offered varied menu to suit a range of preference. Bonus was the onside free parking.

Lovely suite. Lovely host. Couldn't have been more helpful and loads of goodies :-). Well cooked food. It is near a cross roads, which may affect lighter sleepers.

Lovely garden area, nice staff, great food. Nice communal kitchen area if you wanted something during your stay. Small downsides, no air-con or fan in the room. At 05.00 in the morning ran the shower and the hot tap for 15 minutes and the water was still freezing cold. Not great after a hot sweaty night and needed a shower.

All was very clean , staff friendly, liked the use of a kitchen for tea and breakfast, very tasty evening meal.

The bedrooms are very comfortable. The bed very nice. A shelf in the bathroom would be useful. I would prefer different towels as I expressed while I was there. The breakfast room is charming and very nice to use. We also had a nice cooked breakfast. The cooking was very good first night not so good subsequent nights. Because I can't eat certain things my choice is limited. An expanded menu of tried and tested dishes might be better instead of daily specials that are not thought through. The staff were lovely and very accommodating.

Excellent value.

Great little place to stay, with a shared kitchen including a double doored balcony. Very reasonable price per night too. The breakfast is "self service continental", using the food that is in the kitchen. There is no Aircon, and it was the hottest day of the year so far. There are 3 rooms in total. I was in the front one near to the road. There was quite a lot of road noise when I arrived, especially with the windows open, but it was not anywhere as noisy as I was expecting at night. The pub downstairs is a gastro pub, with a decent if slightly eccentric (imho) menu, and a decent selection of drinks.

Lovely stay

The whole checkin experience was excellent from the owners of this great pub/restaurant/guesthouse despite them not having a clue that i was staying due to Expedia not informing them of my arrival. However they worked around this, and made me feel welcome and even upgraded me to a suite, I did have to pay direct, but assured a refund if the Expedia payment is also taken

Cozy. Beds narrow and felt Old and in need of replacement. Noise from Road in the room we were in. Expect noise from bar downstairs untill it close (not late in our case). Very cozy communal kitchen for breakfast especially if you are the only ones staying.

Great hotel above the pub. Food is excellent. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is self service continental in a comunal kitchen. Staff are really helpful.

Would stay again - good value and a delightful set up with your room and bathroom and seperate kitchen facilites - very well thought through
