Lovely stay. Staff friendly and helpful and rooms are lovely. Bed comfortable and shower was perfect. Food was also very good and could not complain ok any front.

Parking was so easy- staff was lovely . Marginal location with fair amount of traffic but room was comfortable enough and appeared to have recent facelift.. probably a bit expensive for what was offered

Check-in easy and quick. 24 hour night entrance means no problem arriving back late. Bed comfortable. Included continental breakfast disappointing at £150 per night. Very basic - no cheese, meats or even bread/toast. Cheapest pre-packaged croissants.

Breakfast was poor, little choice of very basic items.

Great - only marred by the noisy extractor fan for the kitchen, outside our room, although it did stop at 9pm.

Lovely room, food and service. The only down side is that it is next to the A22 and on a busy roundabout with constant traffic throughout the night and early morning.

We stayed just one night whilst attending a local event. Emma and Garry couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Our room was immaculate and the decor tasteful. The en-suite bathroom was equally so. We had everything we needed for very comfortable stay. The continental breakfast was very good and there was the opportunity for a more substantial meal if we wanted. The food menu looked varied and interesting. Overall, this is a comfortable proper pub with excellent, clean and very tasteful accommodation. Can highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you Emma and Garry.

Our room was newly-renovated with a lovely, large bathroom. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and the pub was excellent. Would definitely stay again!

When a room looks too good to be true. Booked due to its location for visiting friends in both Hastings and Eastbourne, this seemed like the perfect affordable compromise. Frustratingly, it doesn’t advertise the open hours for the pub anywhere in the listing on hotels.com. Their website states the pub was open until 20:00 on Sundays. At 16:37 I get an email informing me they close at 17:00 and they aren’t open on Monday. This changed my plans from a 18:00 check in and drinks in the pub to dropping off my luggage and driving 20 minutes to find somewhere in Lewes to get food and drink. Room looked tired and was accessed via an outdoor metal staircase that’s not dog friendly and the breakfast was sub par. I really can’t recommend this place to anyone.

The breakfast was more than we anticipated and fresh and appetising. The car parking was small and safe.

A nice and traditional pub, perfect for a one night stay. Situated next to a busy crossroad, and sometimes a bit noisy because of the traffic.
