Outdoor hot tub was amazing!

Stayed here recently and overall had a solid experience. The room was clean, amenities were decent, and the location made it super easy to catch buses to the ski hills - which was a big plus. Hot tub was really amazing - great views of the mountains. But honestly, the highlight of our stay was a staff member named Reese. Without being asked, Reese tracked down a microwave, toaster, and cutlery for us - the kind of initiative you just don't expect from hotel staff. Friendly, proactive, and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay better. That's the kind of person who deserves to move up. Minor note: a vacuum pass during a multi-night stay would've been appreciated, but it's a small thing. Would stay again - especially knowing Reese is on the team.

Room is clean and spacious, staffs are helpful and the rooftop hot tub is amazing.

Hotel is nice , clean , beautiful hotel for the mountains. Hot tubs are great and with heated floor in the pool area Nice to get bus passes to downtown ..that is a great feature. It was definitely disappointing as we asked for a quiet area and our luck was with us as we got placed by the loudest family of children who wake up at 7am slamming doors multiple times with no consideration of us around. Plus the elevator was right next to our room so it was definitely not a quiet area in the hotel. We came to relax and sleep in as we have been exhausted from our jobs. So my next request will be please put us by the loudest area then maybe a hotel will finally give us a quiet area.

Otter hotel is clean and new, and hot tub is definitely high light! Location is convenient. The hotel is very thoughtful, it provides bus tickets through Banff ave, and close to the shuttle bus stations to ski resort.

Overall a good stay, nice hotel, friendly staff, convenient location & free parking. Downside, doors on rooms (to hallway) do not have the typical smoke seal or threshold, meaning the hallway noise, and noise from other rooms nearby are not softened at all! We were woken up twice by staff standing in the hallway talking loudly on their walkie talkies. Not awesome!

Cleaning staff knocked on our door at 9am on the day of checkout. When we said we weren’t ready, the staff member yelled through the door “when are you leaving?” Have never experienced this at a hotel before. We’re leaving at checkout time.

Great new hotel. Excellent bar and restaurant. Beautiful views from the hot tubs. On the edge of town, easy to get out to the mountains. Bus passes included to get around town and the valley.

Very clean and modern rooms, fantastic outdoor hot tub. A selection of teabags in the room would have been great.

We loved this hotel! The hot tubs were my favourite part of the stay, second only to the Goodfolk restaurant. The room was clean and modern, even if was on the small side

What an amazing weekend we just spent at the Otter Hotel in Banff (March 2025). The property was beautifully maintained, the amenities and condition top notch and the staff so accommodating. The hot tub and sauna were an absolute highlight and the rooms were beautiful. Excellent front desk staff!

Great stay at Otter Hotel! The hotel was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with a cozy mountain vibe. The room was spacious and well designed, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was very convenient for exploring Banff. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I would happily come back again.

Probably a super clean room super nice no real issues. The balcony lights don’t turn off. The blinds are still pretty dark.

Hotel had a very European feel to it. Very nicely kept, comfortable beds, incredible hot tubs, and two great restaurants, one casual and one more upscale. Both delicious!

This is a very welcoming property with excellent, elevated hot pools, a great sauna and sitting area. The staff supplies you with all the accoutrements for pour over coffee in the your room. The rooms are cozy and efficient and don't leave you wanting for more. The underground parking is easy and isn't an extra cost as most places are these days. The resteraunt has fabulous food and all of the staff are friendly. Can't recommend the Otter enough.

Wonderful stay! The hot tub was super relaxing and the views were great. Great coffee, loved the bus pass for access to the town and the soaps in the rooms used all local which helped add to the relaxing atmosphere.

Everything was excellent! Highly recommend.

Beautiful & practical rooms. Hands down my favourite bathroom products and in refillable dispensers in stead of bite-size bottles. The complimentary coffee in the morning is a firm favourite too.

Great location-close to downtown but not in a busy area for when you need downtime.
