Very disappointed with our room for the price we paid. Have stayed in many hotels over the country and our room was very small. One side of the bed was so small it was hard to get out of bed. Some of the carpet was a bit frayed round the edges We were booked fo 2 nights but only stayed for one night. Staff were great and very helpful. The stairs up to the hotel reception was a bitof a pain with our suitcases and there were more stairs going up an down to get to our room. Im afraid I would not go back

Lovely sea view from Room 8. Room was spotlessly clean. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Stairs to the room steep and twisty. The waterfall/rainfall shower did not have a second handheld shower head. Water pressure in the shower not great. Shower had a plastic curtain. Details of car parking options could have been clearer - you can park for free in Middle Street car park overnight from 6pm, to 8am the following day, and you can pay in advance for the maximum 3 hours, so you can get there at 6pm, pay for three hours and not have to leave until 11am the next day. This information is on the notices in the car park, but for visitors new to Deal it might be helpful to know in advance. Staff friendly and welcoming.

We were looking for a place to cool off during the recent heatwave. This hotel actually had AC and a wonderful view. It was also very spacious and we slept very comfortably. We loved that it was quiet and that it was really easy to access the beach and restaurants. It was a lovely stay and I highly recommend it!

The position of the hotel in Deal the fact that the room had its own entrance with a key pad to get into it. The only small issue was the sound of the traffic going past but it was ok for us. Very glad to find the room had a AC unit in it as our time was during the hottest day and nights this year

This was our first stay at The Clarendon and we were mightily impressed. Communication leading up to our visit was first-rate, with passcode for entry to the hotel and room shared in good time. The room was a very pleasant surprise - lots of space, spotless and peerless facilities: fridge, microwave, iron and board and great air-conditioning (much-needed given the heatwave). Hotel was nice and quiet so we slept very well. We'll definitely be returning!

Great location right on Deal beachfront. We were on the ground floor Addelam Suite. Large room, very comfortable bed, and we had a great night of sleep - no noise from the road / being on the ground floor. Lovely deocration. Plenty of places to eat / grab a coffee nearby.

Helt topp! Romslig og Moderne innredet stor fin suite med flott utsikt til piren og rullesteins sstrand. Nære til alt. Ingen store kjøpesenter - men 2 supermarked for mat etc . Koselig Highstreet med kaffekjeder og små butikker . 10 min å gå til togstasjonen Livet er litt langsommere - herlig! Kan absolutt anbefales er verdt hver eneste krone.

Great location and super easy check in. Room was fine and served the purpose we needed it to. Curtains/blinds were very thin so a large amount of light was coming in very early in the morning.

Ideal location. Stayed in the sunrise suite which was a spacious room with amazing views of the beach and pier. Staff were tentative and helpful.

This hotel was great value. Great location and the check in and follow up care was superb. I would return here in a heart beat. We stayed in the sunrise room which for a family of 6 was superb.

We have returned after having spent the last 2 nights at The Clarendon for my husbands 40th birthday, the communication was brilliant from start to finish, we loved our room (the goodwin suite) its a touch of luxury with a very reasonable price tag, the beach and pier view absolutely blew me away, after having lost my mum last week it was a welcome distraction as well as a celebration for my husband. We picked Deal so we could go fishing and having a view of the pier made The Clarendon a firm favourite for us, we will definitely be back thank you for having us ❤️

Did not receive checkin email with code for door as unmanned after 5:30pm so had to interupt my stay to get to the hotel before close. Received code for later arrival 9:15 pm to find no hot water, towels ripped, unclean room and bed unfit for sleeping had on of the worst hotel stays ever could not stay the next two nights so booked in the Royal worth the extra. Still no refund after two weeks. Keep away. Was told that i could have phoned them. Did not as i thought as we were late the hot water may be good in the morning, but not still cold.

Staff very helpful. Room very clean and extremely well appointed , it had everything one needed and it was all high quality We had a lovely sea view Shops and restaurants were nearby
