As expected really. Low cost accommodation for walking The Ridgeway. We arrived on Monday evening, and the pub is closed on Monday. Wish we’d known (maybe I missed it in information) but Adam let us get a couple of pints - and we had to find another place to eat. We understand that rural pubs close earlier in the week, but prior knowledge is essential. Room was okay (as expected) but bathroom really needs a bit of a touch up/clean. For the price, it was probably about right

Pub fine food ok, accommodation poor. Mattress needs replacing. Bathroom/toilet down the hall. Cheep but not too cheerful.

Leider konnten wir die gebuchte Unterkunft nicht erreichen wegen einer Autopanne und mussten den kompletten Urlaub abbrechen. Die Unterkunft war so nett, einen Schlüssel zu hinterlegen, weil wir nicht wussten, ob es ggf.doch noch klappt. Das war sehr nett. Leider habe ich nachdem wir wussten, dass die Reise abgebrochen werden musste, nie mehr etwas gehört und es war auch kein Entgegenkommen vorhanden. Alle anderen Unterkünfte kamen uns entgegen. Sehr schade, deswegen nur 2 Sterne.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The option to request both breakfast and dinner was convenient, and the meals were quite good. I also watched a Champions League match during my stay, which made the experience even more memorable. Overall, it was a great experienc.

The property was excellent for my needs. My only problem was I don't have a smart phone so I didn't get the details for entering the Inn untill the next day when I got home, Luckily there was someone waiting for me so all was well.

This was a great place to stay for an overnight stop. Really great value. Bathroom was clean and functional. Beds were comfy, although a little rickety. Breakfast was basic, but decent. The staff were really lovely. The whole place could do with a bit of TLC, but for the price, it was very good.

Arrived late after a long motorcycle ride. Kitchen had closed but Emma arranged for a meal for us regardless. Emma and Adam have only had this place since beginning of year but have plans for some renovation. There welcome, service and food were superb, especially the fab breakfast. Glad to have met Emma and Adam (again) and I wish them both well in their future plans. Thanks both.

Hadnt realised it was a shared bathroom or would never have chosen. I cannot belive this is rated as 3 stars, i dont blame the hotel, hotels.com should take the blame. Whole place is in need of a thorough clean.

Adam and Emma were fantastic hosts. Couldn’t do enough for you. Beer and food excellent too. Great place for cyclists to stay over.

We arrived slightly early and the staff were more than happy for us to check in. I had messaged to explain that it was a birthday surprise trip for my partner and they had done lovely little extras which was such a lovely and kind gesture. We had food at the pub which was very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The host (unsure of her name but had red hair) was so helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much of an ask for them. I was dreading the shared bathroom as I didn’t realise when I booked but we were the only guests so had it to ourselves. The breakfast was fabulous and very tasty. Overall we would 1000% stay here again and we have already told all our family and friends about it. So welcoming and friendly. Very homely and we can’t wait to return next time. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and going the extra mile for us.

Not bad value for one night, however, room looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a couple of days, another bedside table would've been useful, didn't realise it was a shared bathroom (not mentioned one website), stairs leading to rooms was filthy (didn't give a good first impression), website says rooms recently refurbished, ours looked like that was done about 10 years ago!!! However, landlord was friendly enough & served up a good breakfast.

We couldn’t locate the property, we thought we’d found it but then were told that digs weren’t allowed, after we had already called ahead and told them about our dog and also had the “pets allowed” search filter on. The first place we tried called “The Village Inn” said that they had ppl turn up all the time thinking that they are staying there, only to find that it’s not the correct venue or a hotel.

Great location for me and very good for the price point. Warm and friendly welcome. Exceeded my expectations.

It was a very lovely stay. The staff were so friendly and made me feel at home.
