Very reasonably priced for what we wanted and breakfast included. Have a pool with a bonus as the weather was quite warm and Amy the girl looking after the pool was very attentive, as we didn’t have any towels left in the room and she provided them and always seem to be cleaning up and tidying in the spa area. Breakfast was well stocked and in a delightful dining room and again the staff were very attentive. Tom who looked after us on our arrival was extremely polite and very informative. Overall can’t follow the Hotel or the staff and as it was our anniversary weekend they’d also laid the towels out like two swans with rose petals on the bed as well on our arrival, which was unexpected but a very pleasant surprise.

Booked a lodge which was very spacious and relaxing, didn’t use pool etc but did visit bar, not much atmosphere there but didn’t matter as only using for a base. Nice place and good value for money when we stayed

Room was clean, but lacked anywhere to put cases on and no chairs, everything had to live on the floor. Breakfast was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Spa was great but not very clear as to when you could have any treatments and which days they were open.

We are family of four with 2 kids and we booked the big deluxe cottage with double bedroom. To be honest it was our best experience in uk ever. Property is very well maintained and this cottage had kitchen as well, so well equipped that you can cook anything in there, giant living room and bedrooms also very spacious. Property is done very tastefully with wooden floorings etc. We travelled from Leicester and it was our first time in Cornwall and it was worthy. There are trails and green area within hotels property which are bonus to explore especially if you have kids. Properties main building is a piece of art from a different time. Swimming pool, steam etc is top spec and well looked after. Overall I would recommend this property any day.

The self catering cabins are wonderful. It was the most spacious cabin we have ever stayed in. We loved watching the bats from the decking. All the staff we meet were friendly and helpful. The pool was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay again.

We loved the unique of the old property staff were helpful, bedrooms were clean and very good size, overall we will be planning to stay there again.

The place has plenty of potential. Unfortunately it was spoiled by some bizarre rules -for example our room was not cleaned the next day because we did not put out the sign to clean the room. We were never informed about this.

Beautiful older manor building in a quiet area.

Loved this hotel. We stayed in one of the self catering lodges which was great. Lodge was spacious and had everythigg no we needed travelling with young children. We used the hotel swimming pool and explored the grounds. Great location, easy to park and charge EV and in an excellent location for what we wanted. Staff helped with any query we had. The only thing I’d love to see was a few more condements in the lodge, what would be available if we stayed in the hotel. Will definitely stay again

Swimming pool is great

Spotless room, friendly staff, breakfast poor if arriving at 9-20 after a swim. Need an app on mobile to enter swimming pool, should be a simple swipe card.

Bed was clean and comfortable. Room had all we needed, we stayed in one of the family rooms (two teenagers). Breakfast had what you would expect, but was only offered fried eggs on second morning of our stay, and I was not offered filtered coffee but was sent to the coffee machine instead. So a bit inconsistent on this front. Pastries were very fresh and delicious, the entire family loved them. We chose not to dine at the restaurant, the menu was very limited in choice so kids voted to dine out. Lack of lift is a bit suboptimal but the concierge did offer to help, it’s a listed building, part of the charm. Spa is OK, clean though everything a bit on the small size. Spa access downloading app and registering TBH is a bit of a faff and even though instructions state you should book a slot the receptionist stated this is not necessary.

We stayed here for two nights in February as part of a mini break to see old friends and visit the Eden Project for the first time. We arrived early intending to have lunch whilst waiting for our keys but to our delight the room was ready early. We had a light lunch in the restaurant with our friends which was of a good standard. We had requested a wheelchair accessible room as my wife is disabled and we were very impressed with the large size and quality of the room and the facilities within, especially the bathroom. We can honestly say it is the best disabled friendly hotel room we have ever stayed in. The only slight drawback was that it could only be accessed by wheelchair via a dimly lit external path as there is no lift from the reception area to the lower floors but we were happy to put up with this considering the lovely nature of the room, which had an estuary facing patio area. We understand that consideration is being given to converting a room on the ground floor close to the bar. All members of staff that we interacted in were extremely helpful and courteous and I made good use of the pool, sauna and steam room on both days. All in all, we had a most enjoyable stay and would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Everything was fantastic! From easy of checking in with incredible staff, our room was gorgeous and had all the amenities you could need. We dined in the restaurant which was great and used the swimming pool. Everything was super clean and every member of staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.. highly recommend!!

I liked the swimming pool. It was very busy though from 8-9. Almost couldn't swim up and down. Maybe open at 7 - 8. Our room didn't have two chairs although there were 2 of us. Only one at the dressing table so had to sit on bed. In the bar the tv was loud on Eastenders. Very off putting if you want to go in there for a drink. I can understand putting it on for events such as the tennis, golf or football but for not for normal tv. People have tvs in their rooms if they want to watch tv.
