Check in was supposed to be at 3 I arrived at 3 and no one on site to greet me. Another guest helped me to get into the car park , I received an email to tell me check in would now be at 4. I had an appt at 430 so had to leave before I could check in. I arrived back at 6pm to be told my room wasn’t ready and would be ready in 5 minutes. Staff was very kind. Once in my room it was lovely and clean , only issue was poor quality sleep due to the constant water running in the toilet.

Beautiful hotel and very well kept

Beautiful boutique hotel, opulent, spacious room with large comfy bed and all the high end trimmings you would expect. Gorgeous bar and restaurant serving dinner. Wonderfully helpful and courteous staff, met on arrival and talked through the modern digital room lock, car park exit and entry system. Located in a beautiful, leafy area away from the hustle and bustle of city life, surrounded by private Georgian period houses and a short 10 minute walk from local public transport.

The property is quirky and has a boutique feel in a very attractive building. However the room was not well maintained with a cracked pane of glass in the window, grubby corners, badly marked paintwork. Having booked the room online and seen it - I was not advised that the room was in the attic, and that there were 2 flights of stairs to access it. the second one being very steep and narrow. If I had been given this information I would not have booked this room. The parking was good and well lit at night The receptionist was welcoming and friendly.

Our overnight stay at Baloci was great. The staff were excellent, friendly and really helpful. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the room itself (we stayed in the Persia room) was really spacious. Coffee machine was excellent as was the shower and the tower fan worked a treat keeping us nice and cool during the hot weather. We finished off with great coffee and pastries next door at Cake & Culture. A really lovely stay thank you.

No breakfast available, despite hotel having a high-end restaurant . Option to go to cafe next door not helpful, unless you like cake for breakfast. Staff were good but not always around.

Check in went smoothly and I was happy with that and with the room itself. Upon returning to my room after dinner I tried to turn the television on to no avail. I managed to speak to someone at reception who advised that since the TVs had been ‘framed’ in the gold frame there was a signal problem and that I would need to stand directly in front of the TV to operate it. This worked, but then when I was ready to go to sleep I could not turn the TV off nor could I turn the volume down. To resolve this I had to pull furniture away from the wall in order to turn the TV off at the mains! When I awoke this morning and tried to make my coffee, I found a small bottle of milk in the fridge, but upon pouring the milk into my coffee noticed that the milk had gone off and was totally undrinkable!

Had to ask both days for our room to be cleaned, was told on the first day that we needed to leave the, "please clean the room card" on the outside of the door, done this the next day, still room not cleaned, no electricity to the sockets when we arrived, can't operate the tv correctly as they have fitted frames that block the signal, no hair dryer, asked twice, gave up To be honest Chris the manager is a nice guy but, the place is being run on a shoe string, and the cleaning staff just can't be bothered. It's a shame as the decor is stunning
