Poor facilities, too much noise at night until 4am, shared bath/toilet

Came to stay for an early morning interview. Was on train and delayed so was worried I might not make it. The owners were great and reassured me. Clean tidy too. Lovely comfy bed and quiet.

Hotel clean and comfortable but no parking close by. Staff very helpfull.

The accommodation was very good value for money (Breakfast not inclusive). Staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the stay (would stay again).

Unable to find booking when we arrived. No en suite bathroom which was not clear on the description.

Helpful staff bur poor location in a run-down area. For what we paid it was ok. The room wasn't particularly clean but the bedding and towels were excellent. All the door hinges would benefit from some oil as they squeaked loudly when guests left in the early morning. All the loo seatas moved about and need tightening. These are just a couple of small points but would add to the comfort of a stay.

My stay was peaceful, the room was neat and tidy.

Curtains did not fit. There was a large stain on the carpet from unknown origin. In the drawers there appeared to be mouse droppings. The light over the sink did not work. The bedding was clean. The person who we spoke to was helpfull. Cheap however.

I had to check out due to the COLD! Read this before going! This was the cheapest I could find. Never again! I check in at the pub ("reception") and there reasonably nice welcome. Had been "upgraded" for free they told me. I obviously said thanks and went up with the host. I got inside, and they left. immediately it becomes evident that heating the room is an issue. The pub is probably an old heritage building, old enough that it'll be daft cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I laid in bed under the duvet to test and see. with pants! still cold! Nose was too. Hands too... No way this would become any warmer. I checked heater, and it was on full blast. Decided to call hotels.com to see what the right procedure would be if I wanted a refund. Phoneguy would stay on the line while I go and ask them for a refund (their advice) Girl in charge was in a darts game on her "night off" and couldnt be bothered to come over. When I did get her over, I told her the situation and that i'd like a refund with no ill tone, but literally just concerned. She wouldn't give it, but gave a speech how guests have complained about everything else in the room but not the heating... very phoned in, as this was something they were used to repeating. Said I shud've come down to them b4 callin Hotels, as If that makes a difference. Rude crew. If your guest is cold, refund! simple! Upgrade was for me to think i'd gotten a good deal. Room tiny and cold. As close to a scam as it gets.

Lovely landlady and locals, landlady was very friendly and really informative regarding our stay. She was kind enough to provide an upgrade on one of the rooms too! Pub immaculately clean!

A nice pub with rooms which is perfect for all the shops, pubs and restaurants in Stockton. Stayed on business so ideal - nice staff, easy quick check in and out. Parking is free after 5pm on the streets outside.

Clean and tidy bed for the night. Shared toilet had a wonky seat but clean enough.
