Super friendly staff, very well maintained. Since it is centrally located, be prepared for it to be noisy late at night if you get a room w balcony since it faces a semi busy street. Overall a lovely experience for my first time in this city.

A perfect stay! Location, quiet aircon, wonderful communal kitchen with fridge, kettle, complimentary teas, coffees, pastries, boiled sweets and space to sit (although can imagine this could get really busy at times). Our spotlessly clean en-suite room was very comfortable, ok yes it was on the small side but it’s right in the city centre - what else would you expect! The hosts are what makes this hostal absolutely exceptional- so welcoming, informative, professional. Many of the best hotels in the world could learn from this exemplary team! A localização é bem central. Dá para ir a pé para a maioria das atrações. A equipe de funcionários é bastante atenciosa. O único ponto negativo, na minha opinião é que os quartos são pequenos e o banheiro (suíte) só tem um vidro jateado como divisa com o quarto. Não é um problema tão grande, já que o quarto é para um casal. E há uma salinha de café bem próxima aos quartos com assentos e mesinhas que serve como apoio e ponto de encontro com quem viaja com você e está em outro quarto. O acesso ao andar do hostal é feito por elevador (ufa!). No mais, o quarto é claro e a cama confortável. Indo a Madrid de novo, quero ficar lá outra vez!

Excelente localização, perto de todas as atrações turísticas, restaurantes e lojas comerciais. A equipe de funcionários, em especial a Sra. Bergônia, foram extremamente prestativos e simpáticos. Recomendamos!!!

The location, staff, and cleanliness were excellent. Our room was small but adequate. I would have liked a window with a little bit of a view but it was still fine as we didn’t spend much time in the room. Definitely good for the price and location. I did see larger rooms with windows/balconies. You can walk to most major sites and tons of restaurant options. I would recommend.

This place is well managed and maintained . Super clean. Great location, strong wifi, hot shower, friendly staff. Room is compact , but practical. In a common room, there are free coffee, milk and snacks all day long. Refrigerator, microwave, hot water kettle are for customers to use. Highly recommended!

Right in the center of Madrid where you can walk everywhere including countless restaurants.Secured building and magnificent staff especially Carlos and Begonia who made us feel like old friends.We spent the whole day exploring and it’s good to come home in a clean and quiet room/hostel.

Quartos muito limpos. Localização excelente, perto dos principais pontos turísticos e de estação de metro. Tem um supermercado em frente ao Hostal, farmácia perto e muitos bares e restaurantes. A rua é bastante movimentada, muitos estabelecimentos ficam abertos até 1:00 da manhã, mas o isolamento acústico é perfeito. A equipe de funcionários é maravilhosa. Pessoas simpáticas, solícitas e muito educados. Recomendo e pretendo voltar!

The fact that it has the word "hostal" made me nervous. When I think of a hostal, I think of dozens of twenty- somethings smelling like smoke, drinking, singing, sharing bathrooms and/or bedrooms, and being loud. That's NOT the case at all at Royal Cruz. Tiny rooms with tiny private baths and respectful neighbors. The staff seems to take the job of keeping it as peaceful as possible quite seriously. That being said, I would NOT book a room with a balcony. The street noise (not Royal Cruz's fault) can go on past 3 am. The narrow streets lined with 4 story stone/brick buildings form canyons that carry noise. ANY hotel room facing the street, not just Royal Cruz's, would have the same problem. Book an interior room, think skinny, and you'll do fine. Very convenient location

Can't beat the location just off Sol. Smaller street, so not as noisy. Very clean room. Staff was super helpful. Would definitely stay again.

This hostel was very nice and exceptionally clean. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the location was absolutely superb—everything was within walking distance, making it perfect for exploring the city and enjoying the nightlife. The only downsides for us were that the walls seemed quite thin, so we could hear conversations from other rooms, and the mattress was a bit too firm for our comfort. That said, because of the amazing location and cleanliness, I would still highly recommend this place, especially for travelers looking to experience the city and be close to all the historical local.

The location was perfect. The room was clean. The bathroom was nice. The bed was comfortable. The coffee in the morning and snacks were a great addition. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

Personale davvero molto gentile e disponibile. Ottima la pulizia giornaliera. Posizione in pieno centro ottima per spostarsi a piedi o con la Metro.
