Amazing location and room! It was perfect for everything you need. Having the second floor with a little balcony made it feel like you were in the jingle. The doors open all the way and it’s like indoor outdoor living. Absolutely perfect!

Communication before check in was good but axwell was unable to meet us at the boat launch like was initially planned so I am really glad I watched the YouTube tutorial on how to get the Sarnai. Pros: clean room, filtered drinking water, flushable toilet paper toilets, hot showers, great onsite yoga, fun communal/zen vibe, has the necessities for cooking, close walking to main area Cons: difficult to find the 1st time, you don’t have a view of the lake/volcanoes, (maybe from rooftop areas but rooms do not)

Room was nice and we really enjoyed the patio. Also they added a water filter which was useful. Location is perfect in between Eagles Nest and the cliff jumping reservation.

Worst place I’ve ever been so bad that I do not think I will be returning to Guatemala in a while. The property manager has to be the most disrespectful and disgusting person I’ve met. We paid for airport service and because his driver was an hour late, and I questioned where he was he refused to take us because we were rushing him and when we notified the manager and asked for a refund he refused to give us a refund as well. On top of the place was dirty with stains. On and off hot water and sometimes no water at all. DO NOT COME HERE. Save your money please

Staff were super friendly and access to the property was so easy. Great coffee and juice bar at your doorstep and a short 2 minute walk to the lake with stunning views of the volcanoes. Loved the yoga classes and gardens. The room was clean and well serviced with everything we could need, the kitchen was great for making our dinner and it all worked seamlessly. Thank you so much Sarnai, cant wait to come back.

Room was lovely and well-equipped. Floor-to-ceiling windows were both a blessing and a curse. Easy to communicate via WhatsApp.

Great location and communication with the host. Unfortunately, the construction quality was poor, which allowed a lot of outside noise. There was also on-site construction starting in the morning that disrupted our sleep. Additionally, the curtains let in a lot of light, with no option to fully darken the room.

I came to Sarnai hoping for a peaceful and restorative stay, but unfortunately the experience did not match what was advertised. The biggest issue was the misrepresentation of the environment. The photos online show a serene natural setting with nature views, but in reality the entire complex is currently a large construction site. There was constant drilling, hammering, and workers walking directly outside my room from morning until late afternoon. This was not “minimal noise” as the hotel told me before arrival — it was heavy construction that made it impossible to rest or spend time in the room. I also booked a more expensive unit specifically for a partial lake view, but the only view from my casita was a building under construction. No lake view at all. Although the hotel emailed a construction notice after I had already booked, I was reassured that the disturbance would be small and there was no heavy machinery. This did not reflect the reality on-site. It’s also important to note that the entire area is being developed into multiple new houses/apartments, which will significantly reduce privacy and natural space in the near future. The current images online do not reflect this ongoing transformation. The staff were polite, but the conditions are simply not what is presented online. If you are looking for peace, nature, or privacy, I recommend checking carefully before booking, as the construction significantly affects the overall experience.

Great service and very nice apartment, right in the center of San Marcos. Axwell was amazing, he escorted us to our apartment and helped with our luggage and was available through text before and during our arrival to help with questions and to coordinating our stay. Definitely recommend to book at Sarnai!

Staff is very courteous and very helpful and proactive to check our needs and following up things.

I stayed at four places in Guatemala. Sarnai was, without doubt, the best one. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The availability of purified water in the kitchen and a full kitchen was great. Hosts were great also .

Very close to the lagoon. Room comfortable and quiet. External parking available but 3 blocks apart, not ideal for wheeled luggage.

It was a great experience. The host was great communicating and really helpful. The property is walking distance from the pier and from the main area of respaurants and also really close to the Nature Reserve Park. I recommend :)
