Lovely hosts! Everything you need for a comfortable, safe and independent stay on Caye Caulker. We had the room on the top floor, with a King bed, SPACIOUS private bathroom, our own fridge and patio, plus easy access to the main communal patio and kitchen. Lots of great local recommendations provided. Easy, complimentary access to bicycles and a small pool. The dogs are friendly. This is the PERFECT place to stay for folks like us who enjoy a quiet retreat away from the "busy" zone and we enjoyed the exercise (we biked everywhere). This may not be for everybody, based on other reviews and comments from other guests, please be aware of the following: - there are (friendly) dogs on the property - the property is a 25 minute walk from the main part of town / most activities & restaurants. If you are not comfortable walking this EACH way, or riding a (complimentary) bicycle on dirt roads (that can get quite muddy) in sometimes unpredictable weather (*it rained a lot while we were there) consider a different option, closer to town. You can get golf cart taxis, of course. BIG PLUS: Throughout the Caribbean, the sargassum (stinky seaweed) issue is extreme and EARLY (in March it is not usually a problem but this year it is). Many waterfront properties on the EAST side of Caye Caulker are subject to the very unpleasant, intrusive smell of rotting sargassum. At Shipwreck Cove, you are completely free of this nuisance.

Sarah was a great host. The property is out of town, but only a 10 minute bike ride away. The property is lovely - great amenities & beautiful decor!

Off the beaten path, beautiful property. Very clean! Pleasant and helpful property owners! Gave me tips that helped me better utilize my time on the island. Offering bikes to navigate the island with was very convenient.

Shipwreck Cove is a hidden gem in Belize! The property and rooms were fantastic as well as the hosts!

La habitación estaba limpia, pero no me gustó que se tenía que compartir el baño y en todos los días que estuvimos allí no tuvimos toallas limpias, la ubicación pues esta muy lejos de el centro…

The room was gorgeous, spacious, super comfortable bed. Stayed pretty cool, didn’t need to have the AC on all the time. The owner Sarah was really sweet and responsive. Beautiful property, even has a tattoo studio where I got a keep sake to take home.

As cute as the place was we feel it was falsely advertise. This is a hostel NOT a hotel. Although it does state under property amenities (at the bottom of the page) ...communal living space. It does not state share bathroom and a shared kitchen until you click on room details on another page. We had booked 3 nights and checked out after the first night. We also felt the distance to town and beaches were far and required taxi's. Its not worth the price they are charging. No discount or refund was offered and we were extremely disappointed. As the host doesn't do a good job explaining the real truth of this hostel. However we were able to find a beach front "hotel" in town for only a few dollars more :) This new location saved our holiday experience.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful property. Some of the rooms share a bathroom, and the doors are very loud.

What a wonderful house and great hosts! This is like being the guest in a family home. They have coffee ready for you in the morning and they love to chat! You don’t have your own bathroom, you are very close to the airport and a bit away from the center, but they lend you bikes and they have crocs in the garden!! You can also have a tattoo as their daughter runs a tattoo shop on site. I loved it there, if I should point my finger on anything is that rooms are not as sound proofed as they could have been.

The accommodations are amazing! The bed was so comfortable! The pool was great! Having access to the bikes was perfect . The hosts were very nice! 10 out of 10.

We stayed for 3 days in the Kalypso suite and it was amazing! Sara is a great host and supplied everything we needed as far as water, coffee, bug spray etc. room was very clean and private. The dock was nice to sit and look for crocs. Pool was a great way to cool off and relax. It is further from town but a great bike ride or walk. Also her dog Dick paid is some visits, he is very sweet!

Shipwreck cove was incredible. Our room was gorgeous, spacious & had all the necessary amenities. Very comfortable bed and plenty of clothing storage. There is a communal kitchen, pool, waterfront deck, and several lounge areas, though we didn’t use these. We did make great use of the bikes. It’s about 5-10min bike into town.

Great accommodation! We loved the location and the owners were very helpful. Plus there were dogs! We loved it and having bikes to use made the stay that much better.

We cant say enough abour how much we enjoyed our stay. Sarah and conrad were wonderful. We fed fish off their dock, watched crocodiles swim by. Had a swim iin their beauifully clean pool. Chelsy ( their daughter) is a fantastic tattoo artist, which i booked in for. Everything you could want, they accommodated. From the bug coils to the coffee. So quiet, peaceful, yet a short walk to the main area. Just a fantastic property to enjoy. Thank you guys 😊
