Good location, near restaurants, near trams, near the park.

Easy check-in. Friendly and helpful staff. Just a short 3 block was to the C-Train which dropped us off at the gates to the stampede grounds (which is why we were there). A very nice roof-top restaurant.

I had an amazing four-night stay at Element by Marriott Calgary Downtown, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth by the front desk staff, who made me feel comfortable and valued right away. The room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Everything—from the fresh smell throughout the hotel to the crisp, clean sheets—made it feel like a home away from home. I also felt safe and at ease during my entire stay, which made the experience even better. The breakfast buffet was absolutely outstanding! There was a great variety of fresh and delicious food every morning, and it exceeded my expectations. Every dollar I spent was worth it. The excellent service, cleanliness, comfort, and relaxing atmosphere made this one of the best hotel stays I’ve had. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when I’m back in Calgary.

Was really impressed with everything.. the housekeeping missed our cleaning 2 days into the stay.. other then that the staff was nice and friendly. Walking distance to restaurant . Would book again

Would not recommend, would never stay here again. I booked a suite - upon arrival at 5pm (checkin was 2 hours before at 3pm) I was told to wait while they checked with house-keeping if my room was ready. I asked why it wouldn’t be ready when checkin was 2 hours ago. The concierge then asked me if I’d prefer an upgrade. I wasn’t sure what would be better than a suite but I said sure. Upon getting to my room I realize concierge had lied - this room was half the size of the one I booked and paid for (it didn’t include a couch or kitchen like I had booked). They tried to tell me it was an upgrade but had downgraded me. I immediately asked to speak to the manager. They told me no manager was available but the supervisor told me they’d have the manager contact me, and moved me to the suite I had originally paid for. Upon getting to my suite house-keeping was just leaving (so my room was not ready at all and instead of saying sorry it’s not ready yet they tried to put me in a worse room hoping I wouldn’t notice). The next day I inquired at the front desk to speak to the manager as I still hadn’t heard from the manager. I also asked for fresh towels (they don’t bring them to your room unless you ask). Neither of those 2 things happened - no contact from the manager, no fresh towels. The next day I checked out and the manager said no one told her I had asked to speak with her. Staff couldn’t care less. Stay elsewhere. Way better options in the city.

Air conditioner was really noisy!

The stay was comfortable and good. Only the sofa bed in the room was uncomfortable but still ok for a couple of nights.

Great amenities and the river view room is beautiful.

Comfortable bed and well appointed room and bathroom. Nice views over river. Short walk to train. Breakfast included. Very clean and comfortable, staff were happy to assist with local recommendations and luggage.

Close to the mall and it’s very easy to get a transportation.

Great hotel. Breakfast was great. Walking distance to where we needed to be. Room was clean, spacious and I appreciated the extra special touches to make us more comfortable.

could not sort out my reservation with the hotel and I had my guest have to make separate reservations at the property pay higher rates and had to move rooms Also seems like am getting charge for reservations that were not there . Paying for rooms did not exist

Might be one of the best stays ever! Staff amazing, clean property and great location.

Room facilities included kitchen so you could have cooked your own meals. Breakfast was basic, fine if you were staying one night but not a week. Staff were friendly and efficient. Location good for walking by the river and a good selection of eateries nearby.

Everything was perfectly clean. The room was beautiful. Breakfast was more than adequate. Location was perfect. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Price was great, the value received was tremendous. This was honestly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at and we will be back the next time we visit Calgary.
