Books to stay 20 days . Had to pay in full! They made my leave within 24hr because of my dog. Under 30lbs. Would not give me refund. Beware!! ! Says pets stay free!!

Very satisfying staying there the food was delicious travel with family parking was as it’s said I had trouble finding the place is gated and very secure ac was ok they also have rental car and they pick u up at the airport good to know I definitely going to book again on my next trip to Guatemala 04/08/2026

I recently stayed at Hotel Tejar in Guatemala. Overall, my experience was okay, though it was a bit different from what I was expecting. The location was convenient, and the staff were courteous. However, there are a few areas that could benefit from some improvements to enhance guest comfort and overall experience. With a few updates, I believe this hotel has better potential to offer an even better stay in the future.

We booked 3 nights fairly last minute to our trip and this was one of the only budget friendly options available. You get what you pay for. Don't expect a 5* hotel but the place is safe inside a gated community, has friendly and helpful staff, and at least our room was quite spacious accommodating 5 people with 3 beds. We had some delays in transit and we didn't check in until after 1am. They promptly let us in and had no issues. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A couple of complaints: The shower hot water heater was very weak and barely made warm water. The bedsheets weren't properly cleaned.
