Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) is a magnificent cultural park spanning ±60 hectares located in Ungasan Hill, South Jimbaran, Bali. This place is a Balinese tourism icon and home to one of the tallest statues in the world: the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue, standing at 121 meters tall (taller than the Statue of Liberty in the US!). Meaning and Symbolism: This statue depicts Lord Vishnu, the protector of the universe, riding the Garuda bird, a symbol of courage and loyalty. This work was designed by the famous Balinese artist, I Nyoman Nuarta, and took decades to complete.
