The staff were very helpful , parking was terrible , lots of stairs but the bed was great , the bathroom could do with an update

We realize it was old and they said they will be upgrading and refurbishing next year , but that was no excuse for the condition of the rooms, The exhaust fan in the shower and Toilet area was noisy and the cover was falling to bits ,the ceiling fan only worked on High speed ,could not see out the window it was filthy we had to lay across the bed to watch the tv as it was on the wall beside it,,But one exception the bed was very comfortable , Also the stairs up to the rooms were a health hazard for the Elderly as we are 81 and 80 years old So to our disappointment we had to forfeit 1 night ,because of the stairways . It was cheap but not cheep enough but at the time we booked is was the only place available at the time of need.

Loved it staff so friendly nice to walk out door to jetty , great atmosphere , room is old school retro but loved it bed was so comfy didn't want get up , very clean U have to walk stairs to go into rooms , peaceful even with pub downstairs

Extremely run down which was a shame as a great location

There is no getting around how old and dingy the room and hallways are. We had read they are renovating this year but there is no sign of that. That said, the rooms were clean enough and the beds were fine. It is cheap, and for us just looking for a place to sleep, in the area we needed to be, it was fine. We’d stay again, but only for a night, just to sleep. We wouldn’t stay if we were going to be spending any time in the rooms.

Dejligt sted , at komme væk fra byen - kun 20 min i bil, gode parkeringsmuligheder = gratis . Lige ved havet - frisk vind .

Super comfy beds. Easy walking distance to everything including train to the city. Would definitely come back again. Great value for money.

Our room was a bit dated but honestly it was great for the price (& we were told by the friendly staff that the hotel accommodation is being upgraded soon). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. We also enjoyed our meal in the bistro.

Excellent location, right on the beach and near dining options- clean, well-maintained accommodation.

The location it is amazing, the room it is shocking, small noise bed, holes on the wall, dirty carpet along the hall,...Better to stay on a, backpackers for that money. Even coffee, was not right, at the bistro. Expensive for what it is. That hotel must be at the same level of the oaks, stamford,...etc...

Just the basics in our room but exactly what we needed. Fantastic price. Hot shower, great food, TV, fridge, kettle, awesome bed. And service was excellent!

The rooms are old and disgusting, they look very different to online photo. Currently seeking a full refund as we booked 4 nights. And only stayed one as there was no other accommodation available that night. Staff seemed helpful in processing the refund, not sure if Expedia are going to provide the refund.

Dirty bin in the bathroom. Dirty porcelain bowl (outside) Overflow of water from bathtub, when on full drainage. Remove old cupboards(50’s) Remove Old windows. Clean bed sheets. Food excellent.

All the Staff from Chambermaids,Chefs,Waiters and Management were excellent They could not do enough for you always polite courteous and friendly But unfortunately the accommodation leaves much to be desired The rooms were adequate but the decor,flooring, paintwork shower requires massive refurbishment along with the rest of the building It is basically a 2 star hotel and should be mentioned in your description for people looking to book

Room needs a good new coating of paint and tiles regrouted

Friendly staff, good food and an even better location, will be back for sure. Thanks everyone at Esplanade hotel for a great time.

All staff were great. Bed was comfortable. More curtains would be a plus but over all still good and will definitely be staying again
