Location excellent but no soundproofing. Could hear conversations and tv from adjoining rooms. Shower pressure in room 4 was terrible. Would not book again.

Lovely old house in a great location.

Wonderful building great location. Very short stroll to the penguin lookout. Even saw a penguin in the front yard when we returned from the lookout. And lots of wallaby's in the your and on the street at night. Fantastic views from the room and the property. Highly recommended. Would not hesitate to stay here again. If you are going to Tasmania put this place on your bucket list.

Lovely area close to the beach and walking distance to the main street. Room and other areas were clean and beautifully presented. Katinka, our host, was friendly and explained the current history of the place (as we had stayed there on previous occassions). It was nice to see the extra effort with the Easterdecoration and chocolate eggs throughout.

Gorgeous historical guesthouse. Quiet. Easy parking. Very close to the nut walking track, penguins, beach and couple of minutes walk into central township.

Lovely decor and location. The room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned as there were dirty tissues under the bed.

I had a lovely separate guest house at the back of the property that did not have a direct view but the beach and penguin viewing platform is literally around the corner so a view from my room was irrelevant. The room was clean, cozy and very, very comfortable. The owners were very welcoming. Also the walk to the top of the Nut starts a couple of blocks from the property. There are limited dining options nearby and sometimes things are closed but what is there is good so it is important to plan ahead and it is possible to cook or warm things up so planning = being very happy! December was the beginning of peak penguin breeding season so there were a LOT of penguins not only at the viewing platforms but also after one thought that the penguins must be settled in their nests but, no, they were still checking things out in the streets and around bushes and in driveways. It tooks a few hours for them to get settled and the babies to get fed for everything to settle down! They are quite loud! It is quite amazing! A special place....

Very quiet place. The old buildings in the main street made it like a little english fishing village. Dined both nights at the restaurant connected to the hotel. Food was excellent. We also went and did an Aurthur River Cruise for five hours.

Lovely Guest House in a beautiful location. Walking distance to the main strip where you find a Pub and a few restaurants. Very quiet town, certainly worth a visit.

Very comfortable bed. Walking distance to shops and penguin viewing. Really nicely restored old building. Easy check in.

Perfect heritage room in the idealistic countryside of Stanley, with a luxury bath and comfortable room. Would easily stay again!

Hanlon Guest house is a beautiful character property set in a great location and has lovely views. We stayed upstairs, the room looks onto the beach. A very comfortable space. Checking in was easy. Would definitely recommend to others.
