Excellent location across the road from Bondi beach. Old building full of character with beautiful balconies looking inwards and outwards. It feels like you are in an ancient Roman house. Our room was spacious with access to a huge common balcony with tables and chairs and of course the view. The bed was comfortable, the shower powerful and set on perfect temperature. The room was dark as it was located in the far corner, away from the main road and we didn't get disturbed by any noise. On previous occasion we stayed in Adina which is more modern but the rooms are tiny, so I would prefer Bondi hotel for my next stay.

Very central in Bondi. Traditional Hotel, but modernised internally. Room well fitted out, comfortable bed in a fairly spacious room compared to some more modern hotels.

Great location, good range of food options and quiet especially considering the bar is open until 4am! Parking was a bonus and reasonably priced, views from balcony were superb.

The facility itself was good, but the room was very dark and had no sunlight. It was a weekend, so the heavy bass music from the Museum Club on the floor below was loud until late. The location was perfect. I would like to use it again in a different room.

I booked 2 nights here. After reading the reviews, I requested a quiet room not on the street side. When I arrived, I was given a street side room. It was ridiculously noisy all night, as if I was sleeping on the street- constant vehicles, people downstairs at the bar, and banging noises in the hotel. I booked another hotel and checked out early. When I requested a refund, the staff asked if I would like to speak to the manager, who was sitting near her. He quickly refused to speak with me and she informed me there were no refunds. Really terrible experience and not how I wanted to spend my last day in Sydney, exhausted, out a lot of money, and searching for another place.

No frills hotel offered affordable accommodations in a location that can’t be beat. Read some complaints about noise from the bar downstairs at night. Maybe it’s because my room didn’t face the street, but noise wasn’t an issue for me, even being right next to the elevator. My room and bathroom were clean and housekeeping was efficient. Had booked a second room, the reservation for which they lost and then ultimately found only after we paid for a non refundable room at another hotel. All in all, a decent stay. Would stay here again.

Hotel Bondi is a delightful location it has historical significance as it was established in 1919.
The high ceilings and beautiful craftsmanship are very pleasing to the eye. Although it is centrally located in a very busy area the rooms are quiet, clean and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and are eager to assist. If you get a room with a balcony overlooking the beach it is very enjoyable to watch the world go by below.
Excellent stay at a most excellent hotel.
