Decor was beautiful & the room was well appointed. Staff very welcoming and accommodating. Lots of nice restaurants close to the hotel, including a pub just across the road. Easy walking distance from Kings Cross station.

Loved everything about this hotel. It was warm, welcoming,and very accessible. It felt safe with the key pad entry and the staff were always close at hand with any requests for any additional item which might help. A very clean hotel too. Overall I cannot think of a better place to stay and we will definitely be back for another visit.

Absolutely fabulous stay. Great location with easy access to transportation, dining, shops, etc. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room with everything we needed. A few nice touches here and there too. Highly recommend!

Great boutique style property, like a great big house with rooms and en-suites. Great older style hotel with lovely interiors, however it is in need of an upgrade, particularly the bathrooms, due to mould and flaky plaster etc. Cleanliness is also lacking in both the bathrooms and bedrooms.
On our arrival, we booked a transfer to the airport for our Sunday checkout and when we went to confirm on the Saturday, we were told by another staff member, that they don't do checkouts on a Sunday.
Even with these issues, we would probably stay again, as I like a small style hotel, staff are lovely and it's in a great location.

Love the location, the quirkiness, the team and the building.
Even though the furniture is now a little tired, it is still much nicer than your standard cookie cutter hotel design. Very welcoming and accommodating. Can’t wait to visit again once refurbished! Thanks Team Medusa for a great stay

Close to CBD. If walking back to Hotel, be advised it is all uphill to Darlinghurst from CBD.
We loved the super comfortable bed and the luxury Aesop body & hand wash liquid soap.

Staying here is an absolute pleasure. The hosts are just amazing, so friendly. Went above & beyond to make our stay that bit extra special. Very welcoming, clean & comfortable. I stayed with my teen daughter this place was Insta heaven for her. Great location. Easy uber everywhere. Highly recommend.

Loved the interior of the hotel ( although the style was in need of some updating), overall very comfortable. I was in a large room on the ground floor. Be aware that it’s an old building with creeks and noises so ear plugs if you are sensitive. The staff were friendly and helpful and the position was perfect.

The staff was really friendly and forthcoming with any topics. I could arrange an earlier check-in and later check out without any issues. The hotel and room is quite nice and the location is perfect for walking towards the city or any restaurants or supermarkets around the corner. All together I had a great stay at Medusa Hotel and would fully recommend.

Nice hotel outside of the most touristy spot in Sydney. Lovely neighbourhood. Had some issues with the A/C first night, but staff were very attentive and immediately offered solutions. Very pleased! The room itself were big and well equipped. We did miss curtains (and bug screen) on my window, because it got really light. Also the A/C was placed directly over the bed, which isn't ideal. Beds were OKAY and firm, a tad bit too bouncy so could do with a mattress topper.
All in all, highly recommend staying. Great place!
