Great location, clean, comfortable

It was okay. There's not much to do in the area, but it's very peaceful. Back in November I booked a 1bdrm place for a few days leading up to NYE. Got downgraded to a studio on arrival, because other guests wanted to stay longer. They refunded some of the cost. The venue was nice.

Anna at reception greeted us with respect and friendliness.

Both my wife and I enjoyed staying at the Punthill appartments, The apartment was very comfortable and well fitted out, and the reception staff were very friendly. The apartment was also within walking distance as to the reason we were in Canberra and would stay there again when in Tuggernong.

Allocated room was very close to lifts and foyer. Lifts were extremely noisy even until midnight. Room service was basic. Male customer service attendant at time of ‘Check-out’ was extremely helpful and professional.

The property is lovely and well looked after. The reception staff were all amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are a great size and equipped well, bed was comfortable and clean. Only let down was the room servicing, we stayed for five nights and room was serviced only once in that time (after our first night). Not a huge deal but as we were out of the room from early morning to late afternoon there wasn’t really a reason it wasn’t done, except for maybe understaffing. We would still stay again.

Comfortable, clean, close to eateries and very good in-room amenities. Great walk around Lake Tuggeranong, and close to nature reserve, Tinbinbilla and easy drive to central Canberra for galleries etc. Friendly staff.

We recently stayed at this hotel and, in terms of the property itself, it was lovely. The facilities were excellent, the rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, and the beds were very comfortable. We would happily have rebooked - except for one disappointing issue. When booking through Wotif, the accommodation clearly stated it slept five people and my booking confirmation also stated it was for five guests. On arrival, we found bedding for only four. Reception advised that the booking they received indicated only two king beds (sleeping four) and that a rollaway bed would incur an extra charge. Despite showing my itinerary and booking confirmation, I was told there was nothing they could do. I later emailed the hotel with screenshots showing the Wotif listing stating it slept five, but the follow-up communication was dismissive. I was sent a screenshot from an entirely different third-party site claiming it only slept four and was made to feel as though I didn’t understand how to book accommodation. I also provided examples from Wotif showing that other properties do allow for additional guest charges at the payment stage — contradicting what I had been told. Nevertheless, I received no apology, and I’m out of pocket for an extra fee that, based on my booking details, I should not have had to pay. It’s a real shame - the property itself is great, but the way this issue was handled we won’t return.

Comfy bed. Quiet in room. Awesome shower

We had an interconnecting room, top floor with a view over the carpark and small view of the river near by. The room was very good and clean with great styling and comfort. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Quiet room, no noise from our family in the interconnecting room or any noise from the hallway. Location is great, right on the street with many shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking around the place that is handy. Would go back to stay here again anytime we need.

This place is the best - anytime you visit Canberra don’t bother considering anywhere else, excellent staff, beautiful room, convenient location!
