Tropical Paradise Hotel

Terrible

We booked 3 nights through our tour company, G Adventures. We had a much nicer room (#16) than other members of our group, as we faced the ocean and had a fridge (other rooms had major water leaks from the ceiling, faulty A/C, and ants). Unfortunately, we learned once we arrived that our one-night extended stay had been lost and we would need to pay for another night. We also learned that #16 wasn't available and we'd need to move rooms. On the morning of the move, we were told they couldn't check us into our new room (#6) until 3pm. This left us in limbo, unable to enjoy our last morning/afternoon on Caye Caulker without having a home base to shower/rest in. We were told that housekeeping would be unable to clean #6 until 3pm (but the previous occupant had checked out at 7:30am; she was a member of our group). After spending hundreds of dollars, having our reservation lost, bring forced to change rooms, and being forced to check out/check in all over again (and pay another damage deposit), you might say that this left us feeling very disappointed and stressed on what should've been the last restful day of our vacation. Management was consulted and they also refused to accommodate. Had we known this, we would've booked elsewhere for our final night.

I ENJOYED my stay here! Very beautiful place, right on the beach, beautiful pool and the staff were top notch! I will stay again.

Had to ask for room service … And no coffee the next day… But the room is cute, I love the hotel grounds, and the staff were friendly.

I personally liked the place. I felt like we were in a great location because we were kind of at the end of the main street. The walk to get to the split was easy and enjoyable. The hotel staff was pretty good at attending to your needs. The cleaning lady was excellent! She did more than I expected in my room. The check-in process was easy as well as the checkout process. They constantly kept the grounds looking great! They did have an issue with the Paul while we were there, but they were working to fix it. If you think that this has a beach that you can go swimming in, it is not like that but, in their defense, I didn’t see any places really like that on this island. It was a great place to visit, but if you were used to Crystal Clearwaters, you really will not find it here so much. Henry, who worked as a travel agent of sorts for the hotel, was very helpful in helping to plan excursions, getting taxicab rentals, and everything else that you could imagine. Like I said, I enjoyed it very much And think that they did an amazing job. It is nothing fancy at all, but you’re here to have a good time and sleep, and it offers all of that. Added bonus, they do have a restaurant directly on the property. And, they are extremely close to a fun bar. Of course, all of the bars are very close as well. Although I did not go, everyone was talking about the two nightclubs that were fun and they were literally right by our place.

Staff was wonderful!

The Staff was fantastic! Extremely helpful. The cottage was perfect for our stay in Caye Caulker with one exception... the bed was a kin to sleeping on plywood with a comforter for mattress. That is the ONLY con to staying at Tropical Paradise. A more comfortable bed and we would have no complaints. Henry and the rest of the Staff including the restaurant on the property are the reasons we wouldn't hesitate to come back.

The staff was amazing! They are the sweetest, most helpful crew i have ever had at a hotel. The rooms were Clean and quiet. The pool was a refreshing touch.

El personal es muy amable, tuvimos un problema y aunque tuvimos que esperar un poco, al final el personal lo solucionó y nos ayudó a tener una experiencia positiva. El restaurante es muy bueno y tienen servicio de tours con Henry quien es muy amable, se los recomiendo. Si van a Caye Caulker, este lugar es ideal!

Great staff

Bed was very uncomfortable. AC broke and had to change rooms. Door not very secure. Did not clean room daily. Javon was very friendly and Javier/Henry was very helpful.

We got a cheaper room, and it was still very clean! Took me a couple days to get used to the hard mattress...lol. Staff was absolutely amazing! They were all very kind and very accommodating to us! Henry, the guy on the beach side that plans excursions for tourists is amazing! He works very hard to make sure each excursion is your best experience! We did an all day snorkel excursion that was so awesome! Oliver was our snorkeling guide and he did an amazing job at making sure we saw everything! He is so informative! We will most definitely stay again and have Henry book all of our excursions! We love Belize! And Caye Caulker is our favorite place!

We had a great stay! The staff are all great especially Henry who helped out with everything! Nice quiet spot in town to stay at. Very affordable as well! Thanks for everything!
