Relatively close to everything - the beach, restaurants, and bars. The staff were super helpful

Insatisfatória, logo no primeiro dia de hospedagem tivemos problema pois o hostel não fornecia água quente, disseram que a culpa seria da companhia de água do rio de janeiro, porém aí sair do hostel e se hospedar em um hotel no mesmo quarteirão, havia água quente em abundância, mesmo com os vários hóspedes que ali se encontravam. Ademais o quarto da hospedagem tinha a janela do chuveiro voltada para a área de convivência, o que garantia que qualquer pessoa com um metro e oitenta te enxergaria tomando banho. Por fim o telefone para contato com o hostel nunca funciona e eles se recusam a restituir o valor pela noite não utilizada.

The hostel Mango Tree Ipanema has a great location for public transportation (bus and subway), is near the beach. The HOSTEL is very clean, a great breakfast, well organized and with a great atmosphere. THE ONLY THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE WERE 1- I BOOKED WITH MY 3 FRIENDS AT THE HOST, AT RESERVATION I MADE EMAIL REQUEST TO STAY IN THE SAME ROOM BUT when my friends arrived we were not in the same room and my friends questioned and asked to move our friends to that we were together. My friends found the receptionist uneducated and rude and with harsh words to handle the case that was quite simple! 2- Another situation that I did not like, I went to ask the employee (woman who is on the night shift) a towel. She informed me that the HOSTEL charged R$ 5 (reais) for the towel plus $ 20 (reais) (which would be refundable). What I DIDN'T LIKE was that I asked my friends and friends from the same room I was in about this charge, and they all told me that the Receptionists (the two men in the morning) DIDN'T COVER THEM. I found the rules unfair, it seems that they choose guests to charge the fee. I THINK THE HOSTEL MAY HAVE A FRAMEWORK IN RECEPTION WITH ALL THE FEES BEING COLLECTED BY GUESTS FOR BETTER TRANSPARENCY! Apart from the two episodes, SUPER INDICATES HOSTING TO MY FRIENDS!

Camas confortáveis, bom banho, só não entendo pq os hostes do Rio ainda não tem as cortinas nas camas, algo simples. Atendimento da recepção deixou a desejar, cheguei dia 05 e ao chegar na local não encontraram minha reserva, deixei as malas, sair, ao retornar as 6am do dia 06, ainda assim não tinha encontrado(na verdade a atendente ñ fez questão de encontrar) o outro rapaz que tava trabalhando explicou que minha reserva tava para o dia 6, me deram um quarto( porém um quarto misto, não o feminino) fiquei das 7 am as 11am nesse quarto q para mim é inferior e mesmo assim cobraram a diária. Erraram e cobraram de mim

O primeiro atendimento foi horrível, muito ríspido e dizendo informações totalmente diferentes do que está descrito na reserva. A limpeza é boa e a estrutura também. Na troca de turno, o outro atendimento foi melhor.

Friendly staff, great location in Ipanema.Lots of hangout spots around the property and 2 desktop computers for guest use. Large lockers. Only negative- credit card required for incidentals. They type the number into their system, which I was uncomfortable with but the staff showed me the number became masked after manual entry

Good location right next to the beach. However very little bathrooms, extremely loud aircon so had to use earplugs and very bad wifi

Muito bonito! I spent great time there, the cozy house have different spaces and if you want share or talk with other one, you'd find that. the front desk are very useful and the kitchen have all you need. it's close to beach, safe area and nearby public station and subway. you must book there!

O hostel é excepcional, a equipe é o ponto mais forte desse hostel

Rooms dont have keys to be locked. Very uncomfortable. Too noisy at night. 3 level dorms were a little shocking. location is good and staff were nice but I would not recommend and go back.

El Hostel se encuentra ubicado en una excelente zona!!! es agradable, correcto y con muy buen ambiente

Equipo muy simpático, excelente ubicación, cómodos baños, el internet sufría intermitencia cuando estaban muchos pasajeros al mismo tiempo conectados, pero generalmente muy buena conexión. El desayuno muy abundante y variado. Buenísima opción en ipanema

Nachdem ich vor 4 Jahren bereits hier war und sehr begeistert, habe ich das Mango Tree noch einmal gebucht. Allerdings kann ich es in heutigen Zustand nicht mehr weiter empfehlen - Atmosphäre in den "Gemeinschaftsräumen", Zustand und Sauberkeit sowie Serviceorientierung des Personals lassen sehr zu wünschen übrig!
