I guess for the price, its what should be expected. The room was dirty, the bathroom fixtures where far from sanitized. Build up of old soap / conditioner/ body wash on the dispensers. The sheets and pillow cases on the bed were stained, the outside walks are covered in thick ice from the roof, and is a law suit waiting happen. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Waited 10 minutes to check in, receptionist eventually turned up with a poor attitude. Room seems recently renovated - but bathroom was run down and dingy. Shower curtain needs a hazmat team. No plug in the sink. Door lock loose (had to use the security latch when we went to bed) and in the morning reception just told us the manager doesn’t work weekends but they’ll pass the complaints on. To top it off they left a guest smoking pot right outside the entry doors all evening so the lobby stank. There are 3 other hotels in a row here - stay in any of those. Wyndham should be embarrassed

This property needs some serious management and some maintenance. Hit water took 15 mins running before it was hot enough to shower. At times the water was brown. The hot tub looked like dirty dishwater. Paid extra for a parking lot entrance but wasn’t accessible due to lack of snow removal plus deathly ice above the doors and entrances. Asked front desk for salt for outside side door walkway and the woman working had no clue and said wait until maintenance was in the next morning. Light bulb burnt out in washroom and same woman didn’t know where they were and had to wait until following day. Stayed for 12 days asked for cleaning one day and they didn’t even change the sheets, just made the bed and barely even vacuumed or washed floor. Entrance of room still had salt stains. This property is providing the very bare minimum. The gentleman named Matt was the best thing this place has and they are lucky to have him otherwise it would be a disaster

The room was out of date. The bathroom walls had holes, the tub was painted and the parking lot never got plowed. It snowed so much and yet no one took care of the parking lot or walk way. To have a room with parking lot access defeats the purpose when your snowed in from using that entrance.

Hotel was loud as there were multiple hockey teams staying. Calls to the front desk went unanswered. When someone was finally reached we were told unless they saw the kids running through the halls and knocking on all the doors there was nothing they could do. Hockey nets were set up in the halls, kids were playing and blocking the way out for the other guests. Room was ok, the bathroom was in poor condition. Spigot in tub was loose on the wall, shower head was heavily calcified and only a few of the nozzle points worked.

Although the customer service at the front desk was lovely, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. From the hallways to the rooms, the finishes are very tired and in need of a refresh and good clean. After seeing signs of a lack of cleanliness, such as the dried, shampoo-caked dispenser and mildew around the tub caulking, I didn't trust that the room was actually cleaned properly so I slept with clean towels covering the pillows and made sure to keep luggage and personal effects on hard surfaces, and I did not use the shower. There is also a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways and rooms, though smoking is not allowed (likely old smoke living in the walls and fabrics). Disappointing but this seems to be what you get for less than $150 in Barrie these days. I also noticed a pattern that Expedia ratings vary greatly from Google ones. An 8/10 rating on Expedia is equivalent to a 3/5 on Google (so more like a 6/10). Based on my experience, the google reviews better describe this hotel. Something to consider.

We had booked for 2 nights for a hockey tournament. A few days before arriving we tried to cancel the second night as plans had changed. Expedia reached out to the hotel multiple times. I was told to wait up to 72 hours which then put us past the cancellation window. After 4 days we were told no and therefore lost all of our money for the second night. The hotel lobby was falling apart. Tables peeling, no chairs etc, damp mop smell. The rooms were no better. Wallpaper peeling, damp smell. We asked for extra pillows and were told there was none. Extremely disappointing all around.
