Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and great location. Really good breakfast.

They had a lot to deal with that day

The room was very clean, the hallways was a bit dirty but not a big deal. The lobby and breakfast areas were clean but no air conditioning in the lobby room had it though!

Sucky service paid in advance still couldn’t get my room till 11:40 check in they have no staff to clean the rooms I’ll never stay here again.

Checked into the hotel and was told there would be a parking fee, which was ok. Later that night we had no water in our room whatsoever. When asked how the stay was when we checked out, and we told them about the water. We were told we wouldn’t be charged for parking, but somehow it’s still on my visa. Area is in downtown and surrounded by homeless. Doubtful I will ever stay here again.

i received a message that the pool, hot tub and gym were being renovated, but that we could use the YMCA nearby. Upon arrival we were told the pool would be opening the next day. The pool opened, but the hot tub did not open during our stay, and when we inquired, we were never told about an option to use the YMCA. The check-in seemed rushed, and other than wifi and breakfast info, there were no other details about amenities or info provided. (We wandered the hotel and found there was a convenience store connected). The room was a nice size. Dried food stuck on the balcony door near the handle, and what may have been coffee stains on the wallpaper near the tv. The ottoman did not appear to have been wiped down recently, and there was a hair on the wall in the shower. Room was advertised with a view, the view was overlooking other parts of the hotel where beer bottles had been thrown and broken, as well as a small park area where interesting folks gathered. The elevators were not cleaned/swept during our stay. (debris from the construction, and a sticky spill, as well as hand prints around the interior remained through our stay). The lobby chairs had dirt around them for at least two days, and the business centre was disgustingly filthy (monitor, desk and keyboard covered in crumbs, dead mosquitoes, dried ... ) The front desk girls could pause their cellphone socials/videos to do some cleaning around the lobby, but generally all employees we encountered were friendly.

General good impression, just two remarks: you can hear the neighbours very well, especially when they're disrespectful and decide to call friends at midnight AND at six in the morning; and the breakfast is very basic. But the room is very comfortable and staff super nice.

I've stayed here many times. Very friendly staff, easy check in, comfortable beds with a selection of pillow firmness, Dove products in washroom. Decent breakfast.

The room was clean and well maintained, and the staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The breakfast was served cold and the quality was poor. The coffee was by far the worst part of the breakfast. In addition, the internet was down for an entire day, which was very inconvenient. While the room itself was satisfactory, the issues with the breakfast and Wi-Fi significantly affected my stay.

My slight is with Expedia more than the hotel ... did not notify me website hotub and pool not working and place smell like paint everywhere... free breakfast was a plus but the food looks great but taste was 4/10. The wifi 80% of time did not work when I was there. House keeping knock when i was sleeping and was partially dress at 10 am when they entered . I did not order for that service so they left immediately but they should have coordinated that i javent checked out.On the good note super clean and modern , parking the next day till 4. Pm was great . Staff great to.

The hotel was under construction. Loud noises were adubile early in the ourt first morning of ous stay. There are homeless people sitting on the sidewalk with there drug perphinailia clearly visible. They had a sea-can storage container out front of the hotel in the drive lane. The staff was outside smoking closly to the enterance where sea-can and homeless people were doingt heir drugs. The second night there was a hotel guest that was yelling loudly from approximately 1100 PM and was on and off yelling all night until we heard the Edmonton Police service arrive at 700am to responsed and take care of the problem We did not get any rest at all. Upon leaving the hotel and checking out I told the lady at check out that this was terrible stay. She offered 2000 points for the IHG plan. As far as I'm concerned I will never stay with Holiday in again. We understnad the hotel is under re-construction. But failure of night staff to deal with disturbance on the hotel floor was a huge failure. Call the police and deal with the situation sooner. This hotel is unsafe.

The room was nice but the hotel is not in a safe location. It is not secured during the day.

The location is central, and the property is reasonably clean. The pool was closed for renovations. They offered to reimburse us for use of the pool at the nearest YMCA, which is an 8 minute walk away, but that was too inconvenient to be worth the trouble. The breakfast is typical hotel breakfast. It's convenient, but nobody could call it good. However, on our first night, there was a crazy (probably very drugged) person in one of the rooms on our floor who was loudly screaming obscenities from 2:30am to 7:00am, when the police finally came to take him away. I don't know why it took so long for this to be dealt with. I didn't call down about it because I didn't want to wake my child and scare her. But there were others on the floor, and I don't know why nobody called, or perhaps they did and the management took a long time to deal with it? My wife and I didn't sleep at all from 2:30am onwards.

The location was good and the hotel itself was good although we were very disappointed that the pool was being renovated and we could not use it as this was one of the reasons why we booked here. the hotel did offer if we went to the YMCA they would refund us for going. They offered excellent breakfast.

Terrible parking lot, bed had a divot in the middle like sleeping in a ditch being pulled into the middle, and breakfast was kinda grody.

I have stayed here before and it was ok, but was not impressed this time. - The pool is closed and under renovation - no where was this communicated, not even at checkin. It wasn't until the kids and I had our swimsuits on and went to the pool level did we find out. I would have booked a different hotel had I known. - The carpet in the corner of our room was wet by the window from the rain - The wall paper in our room was peeling - The breakfast was fine, but there was water dripping from the roof from the rain storm. Overall not impressed.
