Room was clean however very cold, heater didn’t keep up

Located on the best spot in Goderich. It's an old building (circa 1870 I believe). Well maintained. We've got the best location of the room (209), right in the corner and facing the Courthouse. Don't expect fancy hotel, but it's enough for two of us to stay comfortable.

Room had no hot water. Sink and toilet had very slow drains.

Very outdated..needs a complete reno. Mould in the bathroom.

The room was in very poor shape. Dresser drawer was broken, lamp was ripped and there was obvious mildew and/or mould at the top of the shower. The ice machine in the hallway next door was extremely noisy throughout the night. There was no evening staff on duty (other than the bartender/waiter in the attached bar). Staff the next morning was very accommodating and moved us to a different room and gave a discount on our final bill for the first night. Certainly appreciated.

Stayed here before and great for the price ! Beds clean and lots of towels . Just the carpets in the room needed to be cleaned . Very helpful staff when we couldn’t work the heat which warmed up our room perfectly !

Overall a nice stay. The rooms and building could use a bit of a refresh, but was overall comfortable and convenient.

Parking was very easy, staff was nice, the room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay at the Bedford again.

The room was big, clean. The carpet seemed to be quite old. The bathroom was quite big and clean.

We didn't stay we have to leave there was to much noise kids running around we talk to the front desk he said he did talk to the parents but nothing changed he said if you not comfortable you can leave and said sorry it's kids hockey tournament and he can't control it

Defently was not the cleanest hotel and very nosy the walls are paper thin and you hear everything.

It was ok

There was a weird smell on the stairways. Property looks very old and it's time for renovation. Most of the time there is no staff available for any questions or service- guests are directed to the bar for check-in. I was told breakfast will be available from 7.30-10 am but infact it was made available 9-11am. Least to say, complementary breakfast menu is awful which is as good as nothing. Room carpet looks dirty that you feel disgusting to walk barefoot. Bathroom commode is kid size and the towels are tired of their service and is begging for replacement.

Clean rooms friendly staff easy parking

No one at the front desk. The guy at the bar was rude and the lady that checked us out didn’t even lift her head. We booked 5 nights, left after the first. The tub was so gross we wouldn’t even shower and we kept our shoes on because the floor in our room was that gross. Booked the king suite with fireplace, showed up, no fireplace

This facility is quite old and in need of significant cleaning and upgrades. While I appreciate their effort to preserve the building’s heritage, the rooms and hotel are very badly maintained — Mold in the showers and it can be cleaned because I scrubbed it and my face cloth was black, the faucets were very dirty, the beds poorly made, and the carpets smelled unpleasant, stained and very dirty. Overall very very dirty. The carpets need to be replaced. When walking through the hallways they were not clean and a very musty smell through out the hotel. We dined at the restaurant; the food was decent, but the service was very slow.
