The property is beautiful and the rooms very comfortable, I am only disappointed that I have had to remind the staff to provide me with a copy of my bill, twice and still no response

The hotel was great for the two days we were there. The description could be modified to make it clear the restsuant is not open for breakfast. Essentially it is a take out only Chinese food restaurant. We did book this hotel again for this summer.

The property was extremely dated. Floors, bathroom and cupboards were dirty and sticky from previous guests. The only things clean were the linens and towels which had been changed. There was not even enough coffe for a single cup. Would never stay here again and would certainly not recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Timberland with the exception of one issue. When we arrived and opened the door to our room we were assaulted by a very heavy and choaking fragrance. Some kind of deodorizer we assumed. My boyfriend has COPD and it really effected him. I am healthy and also couldn't take it. It was so strong we couldn't stay in the room and kept the door open as we sat outside waiting for the room to air out despite the cold. Took about 45 minutes. After that it was better but we could still smell it but couldn't stay outside any longer. Other than that the place is very cute.

Very nice rooms, and beautiful area.
The room was very clean and tidy with one exception...The floor was so dirty my socks were black on the bottom after 5 minutes. We had to wear shoes around the room. Not sure what that's about but otherwise everything was spotless including the bathroom.

Mattress was horrible....needs to be replaced.
Worst sleep ever.

Great rooms.
Lots of space.
Large bar fridge which is a nice touch.
No window but a double door with a screen. Could not open to use screen. Didn't want to break things late at night.
Beds were not comfortable. Could feel individual springs. Both beds.
Single ply toilet paper? Are margins that thin out there? Tricky to be an independent motel operator.
Will probably stay again if the beds are updated.

I recently stayed at this place and was extremely disappointed. The smell of pine cleaner was overpowering and felt toxic—it was suffocating and made it hard to relax. The noise was even worse; we could hear the TV from the rooms next door, and later, we could even hear the snoring of the guest next door. Of course, it's not their fault, as they were guests too, and I’m sure they could hear us as well. But for the price, it was just not worth it. The pictures online do not match the actual place at all. I definitely would not recommend staying here.

The room was nice and comfortable. Pet friendly which was nice. Owners were busy and rushed interactions. I saw some bad reviews out there but the place was great for a night on the way through Ont.
