Good experience and place to stay at.

Despite looking clean and tidy when we arrived, we noticed several concerning issues over time. The toilets had areas of brown sludge in them near the drain (not sure what that was), and several of the pillows in the king size bed had a scalp oil smell to them as though they had not been changed. After having stepped out of the shower onto the bathroom floor, I went back in the shower to retrieve something and my clean feet were dirty again from the bathroom floor and left brown footprints on the damp shower floor. In addition, the sofa bed was caved in the centre and extremely uncomfortable. Most importantly, the listing indicated that parking was available on site. However, there was in fact, no parking available and we had to park several blocks down the street and walk back-and-forth. We went into the parking lot to investigate, and there were many empty spots, including multiple with a sign saying “Griffintown hotel.” Following our stay I complained to the property owner and asked for a discount on our stay. He offered me 20% off a future stay, but I will not be taking a second chance. He asked for photos, however I did not have any so I suggested he go to the property himself and investigate. He felt I was threatening him with a poor review in exchange for a discount. In fact, I believe I was entitled to one given the lack of cleanliness. My recommendation is that if you decide to rent, take a careful look before you decide to stay overnight.

Comfy beds, clean accommodations, everything we needed. Great location and loved the design.

Clean and convenient

The place was clean, easy check in and check out. The view was insane and so close to everything!!

Had a decent stay here. Digital check in was easy. We met the employee who gave us a keycard since their cardless system wasn’t working. Texted them when we were on our way and then when we arrived. Took no time at all to meet them. The room itself is fine. Modern and has enough space. Nice view of the Five Roses sign. Kitchen was spotless. The tv didn’t really work though, and the bathroom has seen better days. Very bad patching jobs where the towel hook had fallen out and someone had clearly locked a dog in the bathroom at some point as there were scratch marks around the door. Mold issues as well around the shower and sink. Not the worst I’ve seen but I lived in the area and know how new that building is so that was surprising. The bed itself was a bit hard and the linens not the softest. But hey. Still slept through the night and it was quiet enough. Despite the deficiencies I’d stay here again. I love having access to a fridge to put my market buys to bring back with me and since I know the location it’s like being home.

The issue is they do not have a reception or front desk you have to call then you will talk to someone some where then if you are lucky they will send you someone to help. Never again.

Everything went easily. The check-in was smooth, the room clean, we found free parking around the corner and never had to drive. There is a great grocery store a couple blocks away, as well as a number of coffee shops near by. It was all great.

I felt the apartment could have been cleaner. The carpet needed cleaning, and the baseboards in the bathroom were dirty. The stovetop was difficult to use.
