Staff support was lacking, and food was not good

Location was great. Basic amenities good but don’t expect great service. It’s a great value.

The only way around the property is through a shuttle and they have only one shuttle running which means the wait could be over half hour just to go from your room to dining.

Not usually picky so didn’t think twice about booking it last minute- we don’t need anything fancy, there wasn’t really anything else available, figured it’d be fine enough for letting the kids play. But very bad decision. Horrible service. Horrible amenities. Bare essentials were hard to come by. Took about 3 days just to adjust to the conditions during which time we were trying to book anywhere else, but unsuccessful despite our willingness to spend a lot of money to get out of there. Nothing is kept up, nothing updates, some of the staff were good but most of them would just let you wonder around lost without so much as a gesture in your direction. Most of the amenities/services they pretend to offer don’t exist. “Snacks” means grease saturated fries and tortilla chips with fake ketchup, weird cheese sauce in a bottle, warm mayonaise. They told us they could get the kids hot dogs/hamburgers but we asked 4 different times and were told flat out “no” each time. Meals are decent but nothing worth paying for. Drinks means 3 different types of 2 liter bottles of soft drinks on the counters and a few cheap liquors, one type of local beer. No water bottles or way to get water unless you go up to the main area and fill your own bottle. Going up to the lobby is no easy feat though as the property is situated on a steep hill and only young, fit ppl could possibly walk it. You have to wait for a truck to take you up but that can sometimes take quite a while, usually 10-30 minutes

It can not be called all inclusive. No food choices. Only some buffet style food. Not so friendly staff. The location is really nice near beach and room are big but very outdated.

BAD REVIEW FROM SOMEONE WHO NEVER GIVES BAD REVIEWS!!!Honestly WORST hotel experience ever. From the terrible food, mean hotel staff, false information online. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. When we arrived on site and realized this was NOT what was advertised online we asked if we could get our money back, they said the manager would be in contact with us very shortly. We emailed the manager a couple of times and we have now checked out and still no answers. There is no restaurant on site other than the WORST buffet ever….Drinks, horrible and so not sanitary.The only thing we ate while staying there were basically just pineapples and white rice. I have to say the pools were clean and the view was nice but don’t get fooled by that. The whole resort is on a steep hill, so we had to take the shuttle to get around. Shuttle is NOT reliable. The shuttle driver would often drive right in front of me, look me in the eyes and just pass me by. Don’t waste your money on this so called « all inclusive resort ».

Mostly outdated and "out of order" facilities.

NO HOT water!!!! No internet in the rooms! One nice restaurant that is open every evening except Thursday and Sunday. The buffet was dusgusting!!!! I will absolutely NOT recommend this resort and it should be -5 rating!!!

1. La comida horrible 2. Las instalaciones súper viejas y descuidadas 3. No hay management; ese lugar es manejado por enpleados mal encarados, entitled y con “0” educación. Una señora de limpieza pidió prestado nuestro tostador, no dijo ni por favor ni gracias, luego dijo a sus compañeras “vamos a desayunar a la villa xx, está reservada pero no importa”. El chef estaba haciendo los omelets con sus manos separando las claras de las yemas 0 manipulación de alimentos. Las ensaladas estaban agrias. NO HABÍA POSTRE!!!!! Un par de veces pusieron un mouse que parecía podrido, con hongos. El tal don Ramón súper mal encarado. La música un fiasco. El bartender de la piscina, como si estuviera haciendo un favor y no su trabajo; estaba todo resfriado lleno de mocos y sin lavarse las manos hacia los disque cocteles. Las cosas donde pone la comida viejos y descuidados y sucios, pareciera un comedor de un lugar de beneficencia con 0 higiene y por supuesto que nadie conoce la manipulación de alimentos ahí. El disque trasporte, pone en primer lugar el transporte de los empleados que de los huéspedes. En resumen SÚPER ARREPENTIDA de haber malgastado tanto dinero en un lugar, tan abandonado y manejado por empleados (no gerencia) entitled y mal encarados con 0 servicio al cliente. La única persona que estaba ubicado en su rol fue el bartender de las noches del bar a par del único restaurante.

door in room hard to lock, staff all on phones rather than cleaning area, buffet was dirty with racoons & skunks running in & out of kitchen. we would not eat there, had to go to small restaurants on beach. ceiling was caving in. couldn't walk resort, had to always take shuttles due to hills. No ground maintenance. Needs a multi million dollar upkeep. Ok for local Tico's but not up to Canadian standards. No management at all. Don't waste your time or money here!!!!!

Stayed here for 2 nights and I can say it’s the best budget all inclusive hotel in Costa Rica! Location and food was great but there’s not a lot of food options to choose from. They have friendly staff but not the ones in the restaurant. They are just busy talking to each other and doesn’t even want to have an interaction with guests. View was nice! Looks like a painting from afar! Also, don’t forget to hang the DND sign on your door as the hotel staff just go in to your room without knocking and refilling bath towels.

Todo estuvo muy bien, el servicio brindado por el personal fue excelente en todo sentido, pero en conparacion con la visita anterior las instalaciones se veian un poco descuidadas, tampoco hubo actividades nocturnas o shows, me parece que hicieron falta, los restaurantes estuvieron cerrados solo el bufet estuvo disponible, las bebidas fueron muy limitadas en variedad.

staff was amazing very relaxed resort pools were nice two infinity pools which i liked. offer plenty of tours . the restaurant they have there is included best chicken in my life !!

The hotel is located on a high hill. A shuttle runs every 5 minutes from 7am to 10pm.There is no internet in the rooms, and most importantly, there is no ilocal phone in the rooms. If something happens to you at night, there is no way to report it. It is impossible to climb the mountain.We are an elderly couple and we had a room with a steep staircase to the second floor. The hotel service does not include suitcase delivery. Even after we asked, no one helped us carry our suitcases upstairs. The service is very poor; there are not enough people to serve us. The beds and towels are very old.We stayed at the hotel for three days, and the room was completely unprepared for our visit. There was no hot water, the safe didn't work, and no one responded to our complaint for a day and a half. The expedition team didn't respond either, it was vacation time.
