I like this hotel. I have stayed in many around paddington. Its a bit worn on the edges but does the job. Shower always works, beds are comfy. Never had issues.

Location is great, the room was larger than expected and I slept fine (in spite of the summer heat). Is it in good condition and anything like the pictures on booking sites? No. Everything is worn down and held together with spackle and patches of paint, but everything worked and there was enough room for me and my clothes and the suitcase fit under the bed so it wouldn't take up precious space. Very happy I had the room to my self and didn't have to share. Service was fine, but all I did was say hi and goodbye to the staff. Compared to other "cheap" London hotels, or was bigger than expected and absolutely adequate.

The hotel looked nothing like the pictures that were used for when we booked it. We were on the 4th floor and the lift was out of order and seems like it has been for a very long time. As soon as we arrived we could see this was not the same as the pictures we looked at. It was very run down, I don't think they spend a single penny on the property. We had to request to change rooms as soon as we arrived as the room we were in could be opened without the key card. So we then ended up on the 5th floor, the room was so hot we had to stay out as late as we possibly could and out as soon as we woke up again, even though the room was supposed to be where we went to chill after a long day. There was a very small fan on the wall which was very loud and old. One of the windows wouldn't open so we had 1 very small window. The TV didn't work (we didn't care about this but still) there were woodlice in the bathroom, bathroom didn't look particularly clean. Once the sink was used it took the water over an hour to go down. Honestly there were just a lot of issues and I would not recommend booking here, we actually stayed up late looking for another last minute hotel on our first night.

Nowhere close to what the pictures show! Elevator not working and a lot of stairs... floors in the room were disgusting, no AC and beds were small, would not stay again!!

The location is very central, and staff is friendly and helpful. We had a fan in our room but during the heat wave, an A/C would have been better of course. The cleaning was not entirely sufficient, as there were dust on shelves etc. Our bed, linen and bathroom were properly cleaned though. Unfortunately the lift was broken when we were there, so elderly would need to check this before booking.

The Ascot Hyde Park is wonderfully convenient to Paddington Station. The staff were very accommodating when we added our daughter and grandson to our room and let our other daughter and family drop off bags for awhile. The fact that the lift doesn't work made getting to the higher stories challenging, especially with luggage, and there’s no a/c to deal with a heat wave. Lots of restaurants around, and Hyde Park is a short walk. Recommend if you're in shape and the weather is mild.

The location is good, but this building needs updating. No air conditioning, no elevator, tiny room but most rooms are in Paddington, and they charge if you leave your bags. We paid for this service and they left our bags just sitting in the hallway all day, not locked away!! There was first under the beds and it was so hot, we did have a fan but had to open a window and curtains to try to help so we had all the noise and lights in our hot room.

Das Zimmer entspricht absolut nicht den Bildern vom Buchungsportal, die Zimmer sind so winzig klein und sehr verlebt und abgerockt. Das WC Papier wurde auch nicht aufgefüllt. Die Betten waren sauber aber nicht bequem. Die Lage war perfekt und für drei Tage ging es. Würde es aber nicht mehr buchen.

Rooms are organised a set of floors the stairs to which are extremely cumbersome especially if one has luggage and lift is not working. The rooms though neat - decor leaves a lot to be desired and sparse in terms amenities and water power in shower requires one to spend more than normal time.

Stayed in a neighbouring building from the main part of the hotel. Up a steep/ high flight of stairs. Room and bathroom was small, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Fixtures and fittings a little dated and worn. However, considering cost, a clean room and where the hotel is situated. Great value for money.

Dirty, broken, uncooperative and unhelpful staff. I think they had bedbugs. I have a rash of my legs. This hotel was a poor choice. Very sorry I booked this hotel.

Very shady hotel. They wouldn’t let me cancel my reservation with or without a refund which is very suspicious. They told me to leave and they would send a refund and cancel my reservation and now they are being shady about it. Entire hotel smells like smoke even though they advertise a smoke free hotel. I am pregnant so I was very scared to the health of my baby and I couldn’t stay. They refused to give me a refund. Not only are rooms filled with cigarette smells, they smell of food, vape, and bo. They are also very hot!! No ac! They have fans that do not work. You can easily open the windows because there’s no lock on it! Which is ironic because they have a sign to close the window for child safety. We moved rooms once and we found other people’s luggage in the room, which is very concerning for safety. We were then moved a second time and it still smelled of smoke: Very sketchy area for both women, men, and families. Front desk guys are super unhelpful. Don’t risk coming here because if you have any problem they have no skills to help you!
