A gorgeous house, great location, spotlessly clean, comfy bed, the best breakfast ever! and lovely hosts .. a definite recommendation and would love to return.

Nice old house and lovely hospitality

Really lovely B&B in a lovely little town. Wonderful hosts, very attentive and friendly. Immaculately clean throughout and extremely comfortable beds. Amazing breakfast. We would highly recommend this lovely place.

Lovely four night stay at this wonderful guest house in Matlock Bath. Paula and Shaun were excellent hosts: greeted us on arrival, fed us well and shared local knowledge of things to do, where to walk and places to eat etc etc. We would definitely recommend.

What a lovely place to stay and amazing hosts, so warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious and spotless with a lovely view of the river and high st. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We had a delightful couple of nights here and very much enjoyed the breakfasts. We would definitely return and recommend to anyone who wishes to stay in Matlock Bath.

Fantastic stay in every aspect. A beautiful guest house, run by the lovely Paula and Sean who were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked to order. A visit to Ashdale Guest House is thoroughly recommended!

We arrived at the Ashdale Guest House to a lovely welcome by the owner. The whole Guest house is warm and clean. Our room was very spacious with all that you need for a comfortable stay. The Breakfast was amazing. We will stay at this Guest house again.

We had a 2 night break here and couldn’t fault anything. Excellent breakfast, very clean, comfortable, spacious room with nice view. Paula and Shaun were fantastic hosts, with great knowledge of the local area. We would definitely recommend Ashdale and great value.

The property and the room were exceptional. The owners were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was great with excellent choice. Location for Heights of Abraham, Matlock Bath centre, Gullivers theme park and bus links was perfect. Loved it and would totally recommend it here especially for families.

Furnished and decorated to a high standard in the Georgian style . Pleasant hosts who supplied good local knowledge and fine breakfasts . I would recommend highly. Peter and Marion

Ten out of ten all round. Lovely building inside and out with very friendly and attentive hosts. Great central location with great river views from our room. I'm a big lad and like my food but the breakfast was more than enough for me and seen both me and the wife right through to our evening meal. Already looking at Matlock Bath for next year and we'll definitely be staying at The Ashdale again. Highly recommended.

Really good weekend owners really friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic three night stay. Stunning location with loads to do in walking distance. The room was beautiful and huge. There was a scorching heatwave when we stayed but the room didn’t get too hot and the bed was so comfy that we still slept well. Lastly, the hosts are wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and they’re so knowledgable about things to do in the local area. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

The plumbing, bit noisy , everything else perfect

Had a lovely stay in Ashdale Guest House. Room was very spacious, great bed, big bathroom, everything very clean. Good location within Matlock Bath, and for Derbyshire attractions generally. Tasty breakfast was well presented, to be expected in such stylish surroundings! Thank you!
