Very bad experience

Fantastic Hotel. You have to get used to the deposit thats requested upon check-in.. Great staff, Excellent breakfast, comfy beds! Top notch! *****

Great staff and great value / spa was nice too

Only went there to sleep between along journey. Very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Slept really well. Quite a loud party was going on but receptionist ensured I had a room around the back of the hotel so I couldn't hear any sound. Nice breakfast

Room was excellent , spacious and clean , mini bar is complimentary too bed was very comfortable best nights sleep in a hotel for years

Friendly staff at reception and rooms were in spotless and in excellent condition.

Radiators weren’t fully working but they brought an electric heater to room . Towel rail wasn’t working although the hotel

The facilities and hotel itself is quite dated. Breakfast options are extremely limited and cold with slow turnover of empty trays. This hotel is aimed at a certain age demographic, could do with modernisation. I had to cancel my second night stay and went to another hotel. Even a holiday Inn would’ve been fine. Not comparable to The Belfry in Birmingham which is stunning

Everything was as I expected it to be. The staff were very polite, welcoming but not OTT. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Perfect for an overnight stop.

The rooms were really nice and clean A little on the chilly side but an additional heater was provided Restaurant food was extremely tasty but what let down the stay was slow service . Plus one of the staff were being rude to another staff member in front of the manager and public which should of been dealt with

Very friendly staff and an all round enjoyable stay.

Nice friendly hotel. Room 202 was an excellent Deluxe Double with a huge bed. Very comfy! Breakfast was very good even though the fried eggs were a bit hit and miss. You could ask for poached eggs though. All in all a great stay and only a 30 minute bus ride into the city. Local pub a short stroll away.

Love this hotel and am trying to stay whenever I'm in the area.

Hotel easy to find with plenty of free parking. Room was not heated before arrival and did not change quickly when reception informed. Restaurant closed too early for late arrival (9pm). Only alternative was slow room service.

Reception staff are lovely and helpful. Rooms are lovely and well designed and laid out. Clean bathroom with a shower cubicle which is brilliant. Room lighting options are possibly the best I’ve experienced in a hotel. Really loved the room. Lovely breakfast team with such lovely welcoming staff and service. The not so good aspects were that breakfast was not relaxing as some staff were watching/standing each time I got food. Very very off putting. I was staying for work but was my own booking at my cost as I just didn’t want to drive back home in the dark frosty evening especially so thought I’d go relaxingly the next day after doing some work at the hotel in room before and after breakfast and then in any space available after checking out. So I got a drink and worked in the space next to the restaurant dining as it was busy with lots of people doing work and meeting people. I sat there for 10 minutes and unknowingly the area was part of the restaurant so a member of staff came in (who was also part of breakfast team) and I could see she was counting tables etc so I said promptly please do let me know if and egff eg n you need to move. I was expecting to be told to move but not so curtly or abruptly. I was told 10/15 minutes please. Same thing could have been said politely respectfully. Just as I was being. Felt like school. Moved to another area which was never cleared from previous 2 guests tea/coffee for the 2 hours I was sat there. Went home with an unpleasant feel….
