Camelia Hotel

I thought the hotel had its own parking but it was a public parking. Room was lovely and clean, disappointed to be asked to hand over my card details just in case we caused any damage

The whole experience from start to finish was, as always, fabulous

i stayed here with my cousin to see the poppies on the pier and the fireworks.The room was really good clean and quiet being away from the noisy part of Southend but still on seafront and just 20mins walk was good for us.The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful we spent the eve in the bar and we will def stay there again.A really lovely great little hotel.

Friendly staff and spotless room.

Lovely stay overall. Room was comfortable, functional, everything worked well, nice shower and it was quiet so I slept well. Staff were, as has been mentioned in many reviews, lovely and super friendly. Breakfast - continental was fab (particularly nice granola, yoghurt & toppings), coffee is good with lots of refills. Cooked breakfast - one day it was lovely (poached egg and avo on toast), the other day my scrambled eggs were like bullets (like trying to scoop up hard peas on your fork) with not much flavour, not so nice, but the smoked salmon was fresh and tasty. Parking behind the hotel was plentiful, free and well located. As an FYI for your packing purposes, they provide a shower gel in the shower (which doubles as a 2-in-1 to incl. shampoo) and a hand wash - so take your own shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc. Not an issue at all, i just like to know what is already there and it's not listed obviously anywhere - I saw it on a video. Hairdryer is provided (and works well, it's a separate dryer - not one of those old on-wall attachments, so that's great.) For a single room there was plenty of space to put your stuff in drawers / hang up / surfaces etc. A little less so in the bathroom but still enough for one. Great overall.

Can't fault the hotel. Lovely staff, convenient hotel, nice bar. Room was perfect for our one night stay. Only criticism is why only one pillow.

Room very cold and need redecorating, afraid  to use  things due to notices. step free access very limited withing building . Should be made very clear,

This hotel is nicely placed on the seafront, the rooms are excellent and the on-suit bathroom was very well appointed with nice clean crisp white towels. The hotel described free parking which it is just at the back of the hotel, unfortunately it is also a public car park so spaces are limited on warm sunny days, so we hade to drive and park elsewhere, it would have been better if the description had stated this as it was a major factor in choosing this hotel.

Bathroom was too small to move around. Beds were so comfy i gad the best 10 hours life of my life.

Staff very friendly and an excellent breakfast. Would return when we next visit Southend

The hotel room was lovely but £187 for one night (booked last minute and arriving at 5pm) and not incl breakfast was a bit much. It was just me and my partner and dinner finished earlier than 7pm, last orders at the bar were 8.30pm… Breakfast finished at 9.30am and there was a £14.95pp charge for it. Bit steep onto of the room rate.

Nice hotel on the sea front with free parking. Great staff and good food

Wonderful staff who were very accommodating. We got a free upgrade and enjoyed the view of the sea. We got room service and were served generous portions. Breakfast was delicious! Absolutely would stay here again if I was in the area.

Good hotel with comfortable rooms.Sea front location and convenient for southend pier and attractions.There is a nice outdoor area to have a drink -decent bar.Good breakfast.

Friendly and professional welcome. Overall good standard hotel. Would stay again.
