Amazing location, a few steps to the Shambles, restaurants, pubs and York Minster. Really great breakfast in the morning as well. Room was clean and cozy, bed super comfortable. Would definitely rebook if visiting York again.

All the staff were excellent, knowledgeable & courteous, the room was clean & tidy. The only thing the room lacked was draw space, but we were only there for two nights so it wasnt a problem for us.

The receptionist was very welcoming on arrival and we were checked in speedily. Our bedroom although small was well designed and very cosy. We ate an excellent dinner in the Forest Restaurant and breakfast was equally as good.

The whole experience was top drawer. The service was friendly, efficient and easy going, the bed was the best I’ve slept in in a hotel and the room lovely with a great shower. Breakfast was included with a variety of choice based around local produce and generous portions. The hotel is in a beautiful listed building that the owners have preserved and modernised in perfect harmony. Location - two minutes from the Minster in the heart of old world York - perfect. We will definitely be back.

This is such a lovely hotel, we had a twin room on the top floor. The room was clean and comfortable and had a lot of charm. We had breakfast twice and there is plenty to choose from the menu. We also had an evening meal, the prawn cocktail was delicious and they are not shy on the prawns it seemed endless and very fulfilling,followed by salmon and potatoes that was cooked perfectly. The staff were so nice and helpful and nothing was to much .The property itself is a 15 min walk from the train station and in the heart of everything going on . The cathedral was a literally a 2 min walk and the shambles was a 5 min walk . The Xmas market was maybe 5/10 min walk and was charming I came here with my sissy and I plan on returning with my hubby.

Checkin fácil. Localização excelente. Lençóis e toalhas de boa qualidade, assim como a acústica das janelas que protegiam bem do barulho da rua. O ponto negativo fica pra cama pequena e pro cheiro de comida que entrava em nosso quarto, localizado justo acima da cozinha do restaurante.

We also had an evening meal, the prawn cocktail was delicious and they are not shy on the prawns it seemed endless and very fulfilling,followed by salmon and potatoes that was cooked perfectly. The staff were so nice and helpful and nothing was to much .The property itself is a 15 min walk from the train station and in the heart of everything going on . The cathedral was a literally a 2 min walk and the shambles was a 5 min walk . The Xmas market was maybe 5/10 min walk and was charming I came here with my sissy and I plan on returning with my hubby.

Checkin fácil. Localização excelente. Lençóis e toalhas de boa qualidade, assim como a acústica das janelas que protegiam bem do barulho da rua. O ponto negativo fica pra cama pequena e pro cheiro de comida que entrava em nosso quarto, localizado justo acima da cozinha do restaurante.
