Was given the wrong type of room initially so had to ask for it to be changed to the correct type. All down very politely. We were meeting several other couples who were also staying at the hotel. We all agreed that the hotel is rather average. OK for a couple of days, but no longer. The best thing about it is the location. Wardrobe in the room is hopelessly small and there is very little space in the room for any clothes storage. Housekeeping was again average. No TV remote and tea bags, etc. not fully replenished. All sorted after a call, if the phone is actually answered. Cannot call housekeeping direct, have to go through reception so obviously there are times that they are very busy with registrations and/or check-outs so can’t answer the phone! Quite expensive, but that is Cambridge for you. Would I stay there again? Quite likely to stay elsewhere next time.

Great hotel in the centre of old Cambridge.

Very friendly staff

Generally a nice stay in a fine hotel. The only major problem I encountered was when I arrived, the booking was not able to be found, despite my receiving a confirmation. Still, the reception was very helpful and gave me a complimentary drink while I waited for my booking to be found and re-created. The only minor concern I had was the amount of cobwebs in the shower. Clearly, housekeeping doesn’t have a duster that can reach the top corners, because these cobwebs have been there for quite some time. Apart from that, a quiet hotel with great amenities and a real sense of class without the ostentatious feel that other hotels in Cambridge have.

Luca the manager and all front desk staff were excellent, really helpful and welcoming. The late night bar staff were difficult to find and perhaps need more training. My husband asked for a glass of Gavi (white wine which we had had in the restaurant) the member of staff didn’t know what it was and pointed to the spirits and the champagne questioningly. Then my husband asked for a cup of coffee and there was was only oat milk to go with it. So we decided to call it a night. Hotel is ideally placed for exploring the wonderful city of Cambridge. The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the food in the restaurant was fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend

By the river, this hotel is ideally situated for exploring Cambridge. The staff are excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms are well appointed, cosy and very clean. We ate in the restaurant and can recommend it along with the bar where excellent cocktails are served. There's a large car park (unusual in Cambridge) which also has 6x EV chargers.

This is a very appealing hotel.It offers comfort .The hotel is aesthetically furnished.It is within a few minutes of the historic areas. The staff is very helpful, they offer excellent customer care.

Room upgrade getting ‘Graduate of Day’ thank you

My boyfriend and I had a great stay in this hotel for 2 nights over the Christmas break. The room was very spacious, and the spa facilities were fantastic. Just a short 8-10 min walk to the city centre too. Downside is you are charged per day for the car park which we weren’t aware of.

Outstanding staff, friendly, professional and discreet. Comfortable and welcoming rooms, good beds, and a great choice of food and drink for breakfast. Very central location with on site parking. All round an excellent stay

Good service & great location .

Room was full of character charm & the bed was the comfiest I’ve ever stayed in, from the many hotels over the years. A very comfortable soft mattress with luxurious bedding. The staff are friendly. The hotel positioned in an ideal central location.

Really nice & quiet place to stay in Cambridge. We really enjoyed our spacious room with a spectacular view of the Cam. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Check in great - room fine. A bit disappoimted that they ran out of sausages at breakfast....

Great stay- I would particularly like to thank Luca for going above and beyond in the communication prior to my stay and his friendly approach during my stay. He was super accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
