Perfect in every way. Just the most wonderful quality service and warm hospitality you could wish for. The house and rooms are exceptionally clean and smart with personal touches that makes the place a really cosy base in a truly beautiful area.

An enjoyable stay.

This is a perfect place to stay in Windermere. The view from the property is magical. The guest house is decorated beautifully, even for smallest details I can see they put so much love into it. Staffs are helpful and attentive during my stay. Definitely will come back!

We stayed here for a wonderful 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Jackie is a lovely hostess in every way, very welcoming and so helpful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a little fridge and coffee, tea, and sweet little biscuits. The bathroom is bright and the shower is one of the best we've had while in the UK. Jackie makes a delicious breakfast every morning with a buffet of cereals, yogurt, and juice, followed by a menu of eggs and other hot menu choices. It was a great way to start the day before heading out for all that the Lake District offers - there are so many beautiful walks and lakes to explore. We were also just a short walk from The Mortal Man, one of our favorite pubs with a beautiful garden. With all The High Fold Guest House has to offer, one of the most wonderful things about it are the amazing views from every window. We hope to return soon. We were made to feel very welcome in this wonderful B&B with its picturesque surroundings. A great base to visit many key places of interest. I would thoroughly recommend staying here because the service and rooms are fantastic.

Such a wonderful time , place was great!

The location was perfect to explore from, close to Windermere, beautiful and quiet. The room was bright , fabulous view , very comfortable bed and had a lovely little space to relax and watch TV. The en-suite was a good size , well stocked with quality local products and the shower was lovely.

Idyllic setting, spacious clean room with excellent modern facilities - very comfortable. Great location for lakes vacation. Really good breakfast! Jackie was so welcoming and friendly. A real find. We very much hope to return one day.

Lovely quiet location for a stay in the midst of hills, Very welcoming and pleasent owner. Breakfast was great and choice. Close for walks and Windermere.

The location is wonderful - not too far away from the main Lake District attractions, but removed enough, that it feels like a proper rural location. The view is outstanding, the room was clean, warm and with small touches everywhere, to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was tasty and one of the best sausages and black puddings we have had in B&Bs. The hospitality was warm and nothing was too much trouble. Would come back!

Wonderful B&B, lovely location, great views and great breakfast.

Well run B&B was made to feel really welcome. Great location that enabled us to walk to Windemere and Ambleside as the traffic was hectic over Easter. Little touches like coffee on the patio on arrival and chocolates on Easter Sunday were appreciated with our hosts going the extra mile.

Extremely welcoming owners, friendly, very clean, great surroundings and views. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Amazing cute guesthouse

Beautiful place to stay very relaxing and lovely clean rooms with stunning views of the countryside. Breakfast was excellent couldn’t fault it. There is a bit of a drive up a very narrow country lane and had to reverse couple times when met with oncoming vehicles but other than that would highly recommend this guest house.

The attention to detail of the owners of High Fold is incredible. The house is amazingly clean. Bed we had was comfortable. Ensuite was fresh, clean and well stocked with soaps, shampoo, conditioner. Towels are top quality. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate horlicks are plenty. Breakfast was as good as any top class hotel. The house itself is in a ve quiet setting with the excellent views. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. No dogs, no young children, no problem.
